🇷🇸 “We owe our viewers an apology.” A day after Serbia’s student-led movement defeated Aleksandar Vučić’s ruling party in a historic election, regional public broadcaster Radio Television of Vojvodina (RTV) opened Monday’s evening news with an extraordinary admission. “For years, we failed to fulfill our duty. We kept silent, turned a blind eye, reported events one-sidedly and failed to ask necessary questions. We owe our viewers an apology,” anchor Goran Eror said, reading a statement from RTV employees. The broadcaster acknowledged years of one-sided, uncritical reporting. The editor-in-chief of its main television channel resigned the same day.

Just talked to my waiter in a cafe. He came from Afghanistan to Germany in 2015. Spoke perfect german, was polite and told me he makes the best cheesecake in town. Asked him what he thinks about replacement migration. His take: - Anyone that hasn‘t learned the language after 2 years must leave - Anyone that commits crimes must leave - Anyone that doesn‘t work must leave That‘s gonna send 90% home. Then it's a resounding YES! I don't want them to fail, they've already failed miserably. Short basic rules when entering a country as a guest: •Obey the local laws completely ignorance is not an excuse. •Respect the culture, customs, and religion (especially public behaviour and dress). •Never overstay your visa or work without the proper permission. •Don’t publicly insult the country, its leaders, or its people. •Keep a low profile and avoid unnecessary trouble or drama. •Follow what the locals do in public spaces (queues, greetings, quiet hours, etc.). •Leave the place better (or at least no worse) than you found it. Simple rule: You’re a guest. Act like one.
