***EMS MEMORIAL BILL SIGNED INTO LAW***
A massive step in the effort to establish a National EMS Memorial!
On September 11th, 2026 President Trump signed The National EMS Memorial Extension Act into Public Law 119-107. We now need your help to make the National EMS Memorial a reality. Please follow these 2 easy steps to help us over the finish line:
1) Share this post on social media.
2) Make a donation here emsmemorial.org/donate If everyone donates the price of a cup of coffee we can get this thing done!
Next stop: the White House!
A huge thank-you to everyone who helped move our bipartisan bill through both the House and the Senate. Now, S. 2546 heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
The Foundation is especially grateful to Senator Schmitt, Senator Coons, Representatives Lynch and Hudson, all of our bipartisan cosponsors, and the organizations highlighted in the press release below for their leadership and support in getting S. 2546 across the finish line.
This is what bipartisan cooperation can accomplish. Onward!

Everyday, EMS providers actively respond to calls in many challenging environments: natural disasters, global pandemics, terrorist attacks, and in our neighborhoods. A National Memorial in Washington, DC will honor them all.
EMS Memorial Monday: On this Memorial Monday, we honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who famously said, "the time is always right to do what is right." Dr. King advanced the civil rights movement by leading through nonviolence. He valued the importance of people helping people.
In 1983, Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a holiday throughout the United States. In 2011, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. We hope that visitors to this memorial will soon be able to visit the National EMS Memorial recognizing the commitment, service and sacrifice of our EMS Providers.
During snowstorms, ambulances continue to respond to emergency calls to provide medical assistance. Despite the challenging conditions, our nation’s EMTs and Paramedics show up to work and ensure safe transportation for the sick and injured. #noEMSsnowdays #SnowResponse #EMSMemorial
