First they take Stargate from me.
Second they take Mass Effect from me.
It’s been a tough month to be a fan of these franchises 😂
The battle goes on however.

Nouvelle série Stargate : faut-il s'attendre à un reboot ? Ou peut-on espérer une série qui respecte l'héritage de ses grandes sœurs ? #Stargate

STARGATE News Update: The FIX WAS IN the moment AMAZON Hired Blair Fetter!
Here is Everything We Know...
- Blair Fetter was hired Feb. 2, 2026, and according to sources involved: "Once Fetter was hired, they never had intentions of making it work with Gero." Gero wanted to honor what came before while creating something new audiences would enjoy.
- Martin Gero is fired June 2, according to Variety. The firing was unexpected. Sources say this was all part of a plan to overhaul the franchise along the lines of what has been done with Star Wars and Star Trek. (additional separate sources have since confirmed that Amazon indeed wants a soft reboot of the franchise as opposed to starting the franchise over).
- Jac Shaeffer (Agatha All Along) is assigned the new Stargate show on Oct 9 with a 3 series deal, according to Variety.
- Schaeffer was hired by Fetter way back on Feb. 11, 2026 with a 3 series deal. There is no confirmation that Schaeffer was hired specifically to replace Gero, but the timing considering this news is suspicious.
- Amazon's hiring of Peter Friedlander and Blair Fetter who each spent more than a decade at Netflix seems to be a clear indication of the streamers intent to do business more like Netflix which currently dominates the 18-35 age streaming market.
How do you feel about Amazon's treatment of Stargate so far?
We'll be exploring why this happened in future Tweets. Please consider following us here on X to get that info as soon as we roll it out. #SaveStargate

The petition has crossed 125,000 signatures! Well done! And before you ask, yes, this does have an impact. It proves to Amazon/MGM that we are still here and still waiting for a new show that will honor the Five Pillars of Stargate.
If you haven't signed the petition yet, now is a great time! If you have signed the petition, thank you! You are making a difference.

Things have been a bit quieter on social media, but we are still here, still watching, campaigning and hoping for the stargate we have been asking for.
No hard reboot
New adventures and characters built within the guardrails of what has come before.

Second Mission: The Delivery (Part 1.3) - "The Crossing" #Amalgaverse
The jumper leaves the shuttlebay and swings toward the cruiser. The black hole’s pull keeps dragging it off its line, and O’Neill has to keep correcting to hold course.
Data informs Jack: “Colonel, I am detecting fourteen fragments of debris from the cruiser’s damaged thrusters on an intercept course.”
“Shields gonna hold?” asks Jack.
“Without a doubt,” responds Data. “Provided we do not hit anything.”
Jack considers this, then shoots Data a look: “Was that a joke?”
“More of a wry observation,” answers Data. A beat. “Colonel Carter says my timing is improving.”
“Here’s a tip for you,”says Jack. "Never take comedy advice from someone who tells physics jokes.”
Data, deadpan: “I am reading a book about anti-gravity. It is impossible to put down.”
Jack sighs. “Gonna have a talk with Carter when we get back."
How to proceed?
A) Punch through. Ride the shields and take the hits to save time, but at the risk of damaging the jumper.
B) Thread it slow. Plot a course around the debris while the cruiser drifts ever closer to the event horizon.
C) Clear a path. Launch drones to blast the wreckage, but every drone you spend now is one fewer you’ll have later.
