Okay. I get that, but is criticism of Jewish behavior, specifically the role Israel played in the genocide in Gaza, "una forma di odio e ostilita"? Obviously not.
When Pilate said Jesus was the king of the Jews, Jesus rebuked him because that term was a category of Pilates' mind, not a category of reality. No one else in the Bible ever said this.
Jesus was the son of God. He was not bound by his DNA. As the Gospel of St. John makes clear, Jew is a pejorative term reserved for the enemies of the Gospel.
Jesus was Jewish. His mother was Jewish. His disciples were Jewish. The roots of Christianity are deeply intertwined with the history of the Jewish people.
As antisemitism continues to rear its ugly head, we must never forget the lessons of history. That's why I introduced Senate Bill 127, requiring Holocaust education in Pennsylvania schools.
Remember our roots. Teach our history. Reject antisemitism.
