The right to peaceful protest must be fully respected.
Any allegations of excessive, unlawful and disproportionate use of force must be promptly, thoroughly and independently investigated, with law enforcement acting at all times in a proportionate manner.
Albania’s future lies in a democratic, prosperous, and European path, with an accountable government, the rule of law, fight of corruption and a future of opportunity at home.
Any unlawful violence and attacks from all sides, especially against property and personal integrity, have no place in a democracy as the current tensions have to be addressed through dialogue, de-escalation and democratic engagement.
The voice of young people must be heard and their right to peacefully protests protected.

We honour the victims and stand with the families who still carry the heavy weight of grief.

The EU stands with all those whose lives were forever changed by that day.
The unspeakable savagery and terror of 7 October must never happen again.
