ESDC was listed among 17 chambers and organizations across the Midwest to receive a portion of Meijer’s $1 million donation to local affiliates of the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support diverse businesses and communities.
On Feb 22, ESDC joined the #MexicanConsulateGeneralinChicago for the launch of their #entrepreneurship program,“#MexicanaEmprende”. Upon graduating, participants receive mentoring & support from organizations & institutions dedicated to economic development, such as #esdc.
ESDC delivered 1K lbs. of ice melt salt thanks to an anonymous donor. Alex Esparza, Executive Dir. and Salvador Cerna, Community Outreach Dir., dropped off 50 lb. bags to 20 Pilsen businesses.“When we come together and help each other out, it’s a great feeling," says Alex.

“People love to live, work and play in a clean neighborhood,” says Alex Esparza, Executive Director at ESDC. “Having our streets free of garbage and debris creates a sense of community and pride among our residents, and also sends a message that we care to the rest of city.”
On Thursday, July 1, ESDC and Diaz Group LLC helped clean up streets, Blue Island Ave. and Cermak Rd. to Western Ave.
