I'm not sure what it would take to change. The Oilers have been subpar in their underlying numbers since the game at LA. It doesn't seem to be acknowledged

There's lots of reasons for urgency for the Oilers but an underwritten element is just how long can Ekholm remain this good. Theoretically, Shea or Walman eventually become LHD1. Fair enough but Ekholm's shoes still look massive in that regard. One of my favourite Oilers ever
