1 year ago today, the world lost Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
She was an equality and civil rights champion, who fought tirelessly for a better tomorrow.
She was also my Shero.
It is the job of every single person to ensure her legacy lives on.

5 Things to Remember This Week:
1) You are stronger than they think.
2) Your heart is bigger than they know.
3) You have more in you than they can see.
4) Your positivity is greater than their negativity.
5) You are more powerful than their opinions.

You're actually not a mess at all.
You're just a feeling person in a messy world.
You are exactly right to feel a lot right now.
It does not mean you're weak- it means you're strong enough to be paying attention.
Be gentle with you, please.

Someone, maybe thousands of someones, will choose to stay alive because of what @Simone_Biles did today. Someone will end up asking for help. That’s way cooler than a gold medal.

When thinking about rubrics or learning progressions, one of the best shifts I've made is to use "earlier levels" instead of "lower levels" regarding levels of proficiency.
The earlier stages aren't worse. They're not lower.
They're simply where we all are at some point.

Teachers,
If you haven't already, you will soon receive your class roster. Know this about your roster: The kids chosen to be in your class is no accident. You are in their life for a reason and a divine purpose. You are the difference! YOU! #edchat – at Maryville, TN

Perhaps EVERY administrator should have to teach at least one class while they are a principal, superintendent, etc. You know, so they don’t forget the challenges of being a teacher and the supports we need. #EdChat #EduTwitter #Edu #Superintendents #Principals
