A major exhibition opening at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp brings together works by the twentieth-century sculptor Ossip Zadkine, including figures from a composition separated almost a century ago. The eurozone economy grew faster than expected by some observers in the third quarter of 2026, despite rising energy costs and geopolitical uncertainty. However, renewed inflation and uneven performance among major member states are complicating the European Central Bank’s efforts to sustain economic growth.

France government just BANNED a #remigration conference in #Paris. I was invited as a speaker.
On October 29, the government issued an order banning the #remigration-conference @_polemia tomorrow.
@JDVance warned #Europe that the threat to its democracies came from within. Here it is: a state official deciding which immigration policies citizens and foreign lawmakers may discuss in public.
We are challenging the ban in court right now and will go all the way to the Conseil d’État, France’s highest administrative court. The conference stands until every legal remedy is exhausted. See you tomorrow in #Paris!

“Culture, national identity, the question of education, how we raise our children.
This is something we have to jealously protect in our own nation states.”
🇵🇱 | Thank you Krynica-Zdrój!
Over the past three days, our MEPs participated in the conference “Europe of States and Nations – The Future of the European Union”, organised as a side event of Krynica Forum 2026.
The programme brought together European conservative politicians for panel discussions, roundtables and debates on Europe’s future, national sovereignty and the challenges facing the European Union.
It was a great opportunity to explore diverse perspectives on the future of the EU and participate in discussions on the most crucial issues concerning Europe.
Thank you to our MEPs for participating! 🤝

NATO’s latest technology experiments in Latvia are examining how Allied forces can maintain communications, detect drones and coordinate defensive responses under conditions of electronic warfare.
The trials reflect a lesson from Ukraine: sophisticated weapons are of limited use when the networks connecting them are disrupted.

German defence technology company Helsing has introduced two new interceptor missiles and an artificial intelligence-based command system designed to counter large-scale aerial attacks.

“The EU gives money, but does not check how that money works.”
At the “Europe of States and Nations – The Future of the European Union” conference in Krynica-Zdrój, ECR MEP @Bogdan_Rzonca questioned the effectiveness of EU financial initiatives and raised concerns about the proposed Savings and Investments Union, financial centralisation and Europe’s ability to compete with China.
Trade unions representing workers at 113 ports across five continents are preparing coordinated industrial action on 30th October, protesting against the movement of military equipment through commercial shipping terminals.
The mobilisation raises questions about international trade, defence logistics and the growing involvement of organised labour in geopolitical disputes.

The freezing of more than $2.38 billion in cryptocurrency following a suspected attack on Binance has exposed an uncomfortable contradiction at the heart of the digital currency revolution: supposedly decentralised money can still be controlled, immobilised and effectively confiscated by a handful of powerful private companies.

France’s unrest has brought a European debate over political Islam into sharper focus. As the French authorities investigate arson, looting and attacks on public buildings, attention has also turned to organisations supporting the demonstrations and their alleged connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Britain and Poland are giving European security something it urgently needs: a practical plan to turn allied solidarity into stronger military capabilities.
Their new Warsaw Defence Plan brings together missile development, ammunition production, maritime cooperation and protection against drones and cyberattacks, strengthening a partnership with consequences well beyond either country’s borders.

Germany built its economic reputation on selling the world the machines, chemicals and cars that powered its growth. Now, its widening trade gap with Asia-Pacific is exposing a change: its biggest regional customer increasingly makes the products it once bought from German factories.

The right to protest is fundamental to democracy. The right to smash shops, torch buildings and terrorise communities is not.
France should lead the way in making those responsible face the consequences.
