Autonomy should supplement manual driving, not replace it. Driving is an expression of freedom and connection to our country and the outside. I will always want a steering wheel, I will always want to drive. Forcing us into autonomous cars is not the move.

I’m going with the iPhone Duo this year. Yeah it’s not as capable, but it’s the form factor. The overall design of the Pro phones has stayed stagnant for a few years now and now we finally have a different form factor altogether. That’s what’s drawing me to it.
Had a road trip from NC to GA with the R1S. My brother hasn’t ever been in a Rivian before the trip.
He was so curious the whole time and asked a lot of questions about Connect+ and Autonomy and I walked him through the whole OS.
He’s a CarPlay guy, but at the end of the trip CarPlay didn’t matter any more. He loved the ride quality, fit and finish, and the tech. He also didn’t realize how easy it was to charge on a road trip.
Needless to say, he’s now ordering an R2.
