The talented Ahorsewithnoname, who finished second in last year's Mares' Novices' Hurdle, bounces back to form following a couple of below-par runs to win the Catesby Estates Mares' Novices' Hurdle at @CheltenhamRaces 👏 @sevenbarrows | @NdeBoinville

Well done to Kevin for being on the front foot with this. Thought he put across a very balanced and well articulated argument. The question we never hear an answer to though is what these groups suggest should happen to all the thoroughbreds if racing were stopped 🤨
Unfortunately, I didn’t hear back from Sky News. HOWEVER, I was contacted by @PiersUncensored and will partake in a debate with one of the founders of the group planning to protest at Aintree on Saturday. Approx 8:25pm on @TalkTV. 🍿 @StandUp4Racing

Cannot understand the sudden clamour for flat racing the moment Cheltenham is over. There’s still so much great jumps to look forward to - Aintree & Punchestown above all. Flat can wait until the Guineas. Getting excited about the Lincoln is like bigging up a 0-145 at Chepstow 💩

The number of so called ‘expert’ or industry accounts that don’t know the difference between an entry, a confirmation and a declaration stage is mind-boggling. And also misleading for punters who might genuinely make the mistake…

Tweed Skirt working over a mile alongside Captain Morgs and Steal A March, ahead of the Pendil this weekend. Keeping everything crossed for a good run (and a small field 🤣)🤞

You want to sell a sport? More of this please. Fabulous.
This is just sublime 😮 From above: King of the Banks and five-time Glenfarclas Cross Country winner, Enda Bolger, schooling his horses 🎥 @Punchestownrace & Baxter_Edits

I know the Jockey Club has relaxed dress codes on course, but if any punter turned up dressed like that I hope they’d still be told to get in the f*cking sea…
Methinks ‘they’ is getting a teeny weeny bit over-thirsty for attention. #BRITs

First trip to the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend. Weekend of top quality racing. Six Nations rugby. As much Guinness as you want. Have a sneaky feeling this could become an annual fixture in the calendar…

Isn’t it great that we’ll get to see that mark put to the test in a true novice championship at the Festival, instead of her going for a nonsense kop-out option… Oh wait. cc. @kevinblake2011 #ThisIsFine
Allegorie de Vassy earned her a Timeform rating of 155p on Sunday. The highest rating for a novice chaser so far this season is 162p by Mighty Potter, but Allegorie de Vassy would be coming out level with him after her 7 lb sex allowance is factored in.

Take the time to watch this. Just a thoroughly interesting discussion about a variety of topics, particularly why Cheltenham is wearing a bit thin - diluted programme, no ante-post & too much build-up. Sadly an excellent Rick Astley joke from @_tomstanley_ didn’t make the edit!
A fascinating discussion - @_tomstanley_, @nickluck and Steve Mellish discussed plenty of hot topics between races at Navan on Racing TV today, including early closing races, ante-post views and much more. Watch below 👇📰

The big clash between Energumene and Edwardstone is still on, but are we really happy with only 3 entries at the 5 day stage for a Grade 1 event? What do you reckon?👇 Vote and comment. To be discussed on this week’s Early Reminders pod🎙

For context, since the race became a conditions race in 2008, the number of runners has been: 6, 5, 7, 9, 8, 7, 7, 5, 5, 7, 5, 3, 5, 8, 4, 3*. *3 entries for the 2023 running.

Being a handicap never stopped the top horses running. Such as Flagship Uberalles narrowly failing to give almost 2 stone to Nordance Prince: youtu.be/V-7FOOTvKoA Or Azertyuiop going down by a neck conceding lumps to Isio… youtu.be/eER-oskZoQk Those were the days!
