The father of taxonomy, Carl Linnaeus, was born on this day in 1707.
This is why 23 May has been chosen as the official #Taxonomy Recognition Day, celebrated for the first time in 11 European countries.
Congratulations to 🇪🇺 @TETTRIsEU & @eurotaxonomy !
