I release 1 hour-long video podcast every week along with 2-4 highlight reels of different polish. For now, it is a 1-day process to get a new episode recorded, produced, distributed, and scheduled for a week's worth of video content for social posts. Here is my workflow: 0. Schedule appointments with @EasyAppts synced to a Google Calendar (which is synced to my personal @ProtonCalendar)... this is like Calendly except advanced features are free, I'm not limited, and I can self-host it on my own server. 1. Make topic list with guest using @NotionHQ, then ask Claude AI to try to make it more intriguing. 2. Record conversation using @RiversidedotFM (only if it's a digital call--if it's IRL, everything is recorded on @OBSProject) 3. Get AI-generated transcript, episode description, show notes, chapter timecodes, etc on @PodiumDotPage 4. Master audio with Adobe Audition (the very last reason I'm still subscribed to Adobe CC, so next up I'm shifting this task to Logic) 4. Edit together intro/sponsor/outro segments on FCPX. Export intro teaser. 5. Make intro teaser subtitles with @KapwingApp, maybe add a QR code linking to my X profile; export & bring back into FCPX. 6. Export & upload to YT and @Spotify (I'd rather self-host my RSS feed but hey, free video hosting--these video podcast files are sometimes 10gb!!) 7. While videos are uploading, I use @canva to make a thumbnail and square cover art. This is also when I normally realize I forgot to request a photo, so I'll send the guest a message asking for a photo and use that as an excuse to walk down to the beach. 8. Come home from beach, feeling blissed out and in love with life. What's the point of all this computer media stuff, anyway? 9. Decide to @Google the photo of the guest instead since they still haven't seen the message, finish the e, and get this hustle to get this thing finishhed as fast as I can before the kids wake up from their nap. 10. Generate blog post for the episode (either Claude or PodiumGPT) 11. Send blog post to my SEO person for optimization and posting on website. 12. Finally, I use @OpusClip to auto-generate anywhere from 5-10 highlight reels (it'll do a lot more than that but I rarely find more than 5-10 acceptable ones). I used to manually find the clips and send to Kapwing for processing, but Opus makes it REALLY simple that it would be silly not to use it. 13. Oh yeah, and then I schedule everything with @PublerNation and we are DONE and I can go hang out with my kids. And that's it! I know I'm still old school with wanting to edit video myself on FCPX instead of something like Cap Cut, but I am a video editor and I do find it enjoyable still. Other than that though, I think it's a pretty solid flow for getting a quality product in a relatively short amount of time. What do you think?
