ATL did their job. It was a must-win game; they punched first and played their game. Valks were flustered, couldn’t set any tone, missed layups + shots, didn’t play defense. Some poor decisions by not driving on plays with people in foul trouble. Series is 0-0.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. During the 2015 WNBA playoffs, while playing for the NY Liberty, we were forced to play back-to-back playoff games against Washington and Indiana. Fast forward to 2026, Game 6 of the WNBA Finals is being played at 12:30pm on a Thursday to accommodate an NBA regular-season game. Different circumstances, same underlying issue. At what point do we address the structural sexism embedded in women’s sports?
