The birds don't stand a chance.
Sticks are coated in a glue-like substance, forming a deadly trap. Known as 'lime sticks', birds land on them, struggle and either die or are killed later by trappers.
60 different species have been trapped this way.

Our project using AI to collate global literature at scale is so exciting and successful. The evidence-based conservation co-pilot is comparable to skilled humans. Is clearly the future of evidence synthesis. Am in awe of our skilled collaborators.

A novel #MachineLearning framework—Mal-ID—can decipher an individual’s immune system’s record of past infections and diseases, according to a new Science study, providing a powerful tool with the potential for diagnosing autoimmune disorders, viral infections, and vaccine responses with precision. scim.ag/41xsoQh

ALT B and T cell receptors sequenced from 593 individuals were analyzed through receptor population or “repertoire” composition; clustering CDR3 sequence regions, which determine receptor antigen specificity; and protein language modeling. Disease was classified from this BCR and TCR information with a high multiclass AUROC score in cross validation experiments.
