If the Interior Minister of Japan started committing war crimes with our tax dollars we'd get to know him.
NYT's Bret Stephens whines that Democrats know "Smotrich and Ben-Gvir" but not "the interior minister of Japan." Their "obsession" with Israel drives him "crazy." (Being politically informed on Israel is now anti-Semitic.)

I honestly can't thank @punishablepress - Michael McCarthy enough for putting together the utterly surreal, Kafkaesque persecution I've faced for two-years from the Irish state. There's a free bar tab on me whenever you want it mate.

it is clear jon stewart had the same reservations i did about matthew cole's kushner story. after watching this, i believe cole's reporting even less. jared kushner is dirty to the core, but this particular report feels very "steele dossier" if i am wrong i will apologize
TONIGHT: Investigative journalist Matthew Cole sits down with Jon Stewart to discuss explosive allegations about Jared Kushner in the new book, “Princes and Thieves.” Kushner's legal team denies these allegations.

If this is accurate, should be no tolerance. A heinous cruel act that deserves the most severe consequences to be imposed on the perpetrator by any civilised society in return.
This happened in killarney. The young lad who done it is called Edward Mellor. He is originally from England but moved to the killarney/killorgan area. He was talking to this elderly man in an alley beside the pub and knocked him out with a sucker punch for a Snapchat video.

I'm in Wexford today for Hugh Fagan's trial. His offence? Sitting on a bench with seven homemade signs. The summons doesn't even say which sign. My interview with Hugh, and the full case below. Please help at IrishFreeSpeech.com
Today in Wexford, Ireland takes a man to court for a sign. Not a riot. Not a punch. A sign. His name is Hugh Fagan. He sits on a bench in the town square with his homemade signs and his headphones on. Here's the case. 👇

Fascinating article. @john_mcguirk @DavQuinn
On this Israeli election day, I’d recommend reading this extraordinary @haaretzcom interview with billionaire Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress and once one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s closest confidants. One of Lauder’s most striking conclusions: “I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance.” This is coming from someone who helped launch Netanyahu’s political career, introduced him to powerful figures in American politics and media, and secretly negotiated with Hafez al-Assad and Rafik Hariri on his behalf in the late 1990s. In one of the interview’s biggest revelations, Lauder says Netanyahu agreed to a comprehensive peace deal with Syria and Lebanon, including withdrawal from the Golan Heights, but ultimately refused to sign it for political reasons. “He chose politics over peace. He put his political future before the deal.” Now 82, Lauder describes his profound disillusionment with Israel’s direction. After decades of supporting Israeli and Jewish institutions, he has sold his Tel Aviv apartment, given away his Be’er Sheva property, and says he has no intention of returning to Israel. He warns that Netanyahu’s dependence on figures like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich is damaging Israel, alienating diaspora Jews and eroding support in Washington. The interview is also full of fascinating details about Lauder’s role in Netanyahu’s political rise. The two became close friends in the 1980s, when Netanyahu was Israel’s ambassador to the UN, speaking almost daily at times. Lauder says he introduced Netanyahu to speech coach Lilyan Wilder to improve his public speaking and, crucially, to Republican strategist Arthur Finkelstein, who would become instrumental in Netanyahu’s electoral success. When Netanyahu left New York to pursue a political career in Israel, Lauder threw him a farewell party attended by some of the most influential figures in American media and politics, including Rupert Murdoch and the head of the New York Times. Lauder recalls opening doors for Netanyahu and helping him cultivate the relationships that would underpin his rise to power. What makes this interview so revealing is that Lauder is no longtime critic of Israel. He had been a committed Zionist, a Republican power broker, and a man who spent decades financing Jewish institutions, cultivating relationships with Arab leaders, and pursuing diplomatic openings on Israel’s behalf. A fascinating read 👇 haaretz.com/israel-news/elec…

So Michael Carrick stays for now, according to reports. Good – because he cares deeply about the Club and, whatever his limitations as a manager, Carrick is not the real problem at United. The problem patently lies in recruitment/ownership. Recruitment needs addressing with a clear-out and proper investment in players with the right character as well as the right ability (and in the right positions, starting with defence). But the concerns are obvious. Will the players who doubt him raise their game? What will happen if they surrender again, this time at Chelsea? Will Bruno Fernandes start or remain captain? Is it also simply a case of the club playing for time while they pursue potential successors? It seems an uneasy truce, a temporary ceasefire. Let's hope the players, whatever they think of Carrick, look in the mirror, realise they are very much part of the problem, take responsibility and fight for the cause. United players owe it to the fans. #MUFC

Lot of this analysis overlooks the fact, it is evidently not socialist for global corporations who come to such heavily taxed Ireland to avoid tax. Certainly is a socialist state for the vast majority of workers and small businesses who bear the massive tax burden and are deprived of opportunity to respond to incentives, work hard and build independent wealth. It is also a low tax capitalist free for all for global corporations who increasingly consolidate and dominate most markets. Neoliberalism 101.
Make no mistake, the same is true in Ireland. The Irish minimum wage is now close to €30,000 for a 40-hour work week. The higher rate of tax kicks in at €44,000. This compresses the vast majority of people into a narrow income band of roughly €30,000–€50,000, irrespective of skill, talent, or how hard they work. In Ireland, you need to take home around €60k a year after tax to reach the top 10% of earners. In the US, taking home $120k net puts you in a comparable percentile. The Irish are far poorer than our American counterparts, caused largely by heavily redistributive taxation. Ireland is today a socialist state and we are on a path to communism.

48 years ago this week, November 1978 issue of National Geographic came out. It featured an article on a former 🇮🇪banker John Weaving living out his retirement birdwatching with his beloved dogs Brocky and Twiggy on the Shannon River in Ireland. "One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy's sayin', 'Whadda ya want from me?'" “Looks like somebody we know”. #iykyk

Was of a similar view and I believe on objective evidence already well reported that Jared Kushner is of very poor character but the substance of the article appeared to be no greater than "trust me bro". One would have expected higher standards from @VanityFair but it seems the awful economics of modern journalism is destroying its quality everywhere.
This interview bolsters my initial skepticism of the Vanity Fair story. Jon Stewart’s thorough questioning gets Cole to basically admit that the basis for his Kushner story is pure hearsay. xitter.cf/aaronjmate/status/2113…

Sadly many in Ireland have always been sheep. When the Church ran a theocracy with FFG, they all went to mass. Once that ended it seems many of them had no actual faith of their own and stopped attending except for when they had big life occassions. Now that US Corporate Woke neoliberalism has replaced Catholicism as the State religion in Ireland, they are all embracing that. More authentic Irish often leave. The Irish nation is far bigger than the crony ridden, deceitful and incompetent Irish State.
Ireland gets more woke by the day.

Jason appears to discard the fact that the US dollar´s "exorbitant privilege" and the recyling of US trade deficits back into US Capital Markets, where all conservative financial assets are squeezed out first before VC.......gets funded, objectively and demonstrably makes it easier and more likely that such risks can and will be assumed in the US. To Jason´s point there absolutely are also wider cultural and societal approaches to risk, work and ambition which are all significant but the US dollar global reserve status is a highly significant and generally overlooked factor behind US tech investment, resultant innovation and global domination.
Most investment dollars go to zero Most founder equity goes to zero America produces the most important companies because of this awesome risk-taking — this is why we win! This is obvious and well known by all parties involved, and it’s called the power law And 99% of the time, VC-backed founders never put any personal capital at risk — just their time and typically a more modest salary (but in a hot market founders sometimes go for higher pay, and boards will approve) No story here, just nonsense

This person is 62 years old. She has spent more money on botox, filler, and hair coloring than the median American income. A perfectly fine thing to do if you can afford it but don’t pretend to be in touch with the working class with a 6 figure face.

The amount of murders committed by foreign born males from a handful of countries now living in Ireland is a far more statistically accurate group to make such an appeal to but instead much easier to virtue signal and smear half of the world´s population. The deceit and incoherence of the cultural left is staggering.

Logical but Real Madrid is a proper football club where there is an institution of identifying, developing and acquiring world class footballers. This goes way beyond any 1 manager. Madrid have moved managers on quickly when they did not work but never lost that internal institutional excellence. Manchester United is a football club run by football clueless accountants and sycophants to the billionaire class. No internal institutional excellence now. Appointing Ancelotti does not fix this and they would likely refuse his players shopping list.
