Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Papercourt GPs Caspian Tern. Found by @Crane_Spotter late morning, it remained until the evening allowing many to catch up. Still the only Surrey record. Painting by ex-Surrey birder Dave Nurney.

As a current NHS doctor I am sad & angry the govt thinks it can get away with subjecting junior doctors to a 26% real terms pay cut, while parroting faux moral outrage about patient safety.
Rota gaps & unsafe staffing are endemic.
You never campaigned against them, not once.

Planning a visit to Chobham Common soon? If so you may spot some amazing posters designed by the Year 5 students of St Michael’s C of E Primary School! The students were inspired to help spread the word about our amazing heathlands!

Problem is rampant, not just small minority. Signs might as well not be there. Attacks on sheep as well as bird disturbance.

@ukwildlifecrime need to get together to devise workable plan to deal with it eg fines

Nobody ever came forward for this, so if anyone needs one, let me know. Would rather re-home it than discard.

RT if you would like more reserves to copy @SWTCarltonMarsh with an anti social behaviour order for the public footpaths, backed by £1000 fine, requiring dogs on Nature Reserve be on-lead. Two fines issued: wildlife benefitting massively #savebreedingbirds #dogsonleadsplease

Say hello to my little friend . . . Fluffy and delightful and looking for a home , I gave it a helping hand . Everything counts , every last living thing because we make staying alive so difficult for them . #lovelife

It's going to be lovely weather this weekend in England.
Please keep your distance, but get out and enjoy the fresh air!
The damage the lockdown is doing to mental health is immense, getting people outside again will make an enormous difference.

Two excellent examples of councils giving pollinators a chance. "Weeds"...a misnomer, but that's how they're branded. Come on @DerbyCC @Derbyshirecc @derbyshiredales
Let's see those verges bloom

Control dogs. We are a nation of dog-lovers, but they can be very destructive to wildlife, including birds. Where there is potential to disturb wildlife, dogs should be kept on a lead; or even better, not taken to certain sites (such as sensitive nature reserves). #HelpBirds

So @BBCNews @itvnews according to police estimates we put 10K people on the streets of London in a peaceful , colourful display of passion , playing bird song #PeoplesWalkforWildlife and it appears you didn’t cover it . Shame - it was an all good news story . RT

I am against the illegal persecution of uplands wildlife. The dark side of the Inglorious 12th must be stopped. thndr.me/HcJNW9

Hello @ChiOnwurah - so you have a protected declining bird dying in misery in your constituency due to what is now illegal neglect and it’s all over social media. I know it’s a Sunday but your immediate attention would be appreciated as this issue isn’t going away . Please RT
