UK private hospitals generally dont do emergencies, that's all NHS. You will not make it past the lobby without health insurance or a payment plan upfront If you're nt a legal resident, NHS A&E will take care of you in an emergency and send you a bill afterwards (marked up 150%)
Where did we get the medical ethics in Nigeria that allow doctors and nurses to refuse to treat patients simply because they cannot afford to pay? Why should a human being be left to die simply because they have no money? Since when did money become more important than human life?

My friend moved to UK last year. First 2 months, he was posting snow, Tesco, train, “Alhamdulillah for new life” every day on status. By month 3, he started complaining. “Bro, UK is lonely. Work is 12 hours, rent is finished, cold dey kill person.” I told him calm down, e go better. Month 6, he called me by 2am Nigerian time. He said “Guy, I swear I miss Nigeria. I miss noise, I miss mama put, I miss us drinking beer for junction till 11pm for no reason. Here everybody dey face him own.” Last week he called again. He said he got a better job. Better pay. But he still said the same thing. “Money dey UK, but life dey Nigeria.” That one hit me.

Always blaming the wrong persons instead of calling out the government. You can as well go to Enugu, donate 2Billion to the Hospital, they will use it to treat patients who come in Emergency and can’t afford to pay. When the money finishes, we will call you to replenish it.

Hi everyone, I’m Marvellous, some of you know me as Ini. I’m a few months from finishing my MPH at NYU. I planned for this year with a student loan and a summer internship but it didn’t come through. Then this month, MPOWER shut down. I was on their waitlist. #FundDrMarvellous

Stop waiting for a seat at the table. Build your own, bring your tribe into the room, and pull up chairs so everyone can eat.

Coming from someone with zero support system.. I have always wanted to travel outside the country.. i opened an account in 2017 and gave the bank instructions to freeze it so that any money paid into it couldn’t be withdrawn without my authorisation. In fact the thought of having to queue for hours and write another instruction before the account could be opened again was enough to discourage me from touching the money. 😂 During my NYSC in Jigawa, I paid my allowance into that account while I survive on state income which was 5k then.. with 300 Naira in jigawa then, you could make a pot of a week meat soup.. Life was easier.. I even did my international passport by myself then for just 22k.. After NYSC, I got a banking job and most of my extra income came from tips. I received tips almost every day, with a minimum of ₦3,000 daily. From my salary, i only paid my tithe and my mum’s monthly upkeep. The rest went into my frozen account… I also had a kolo where I dropped money whenever I had something extra, sometimes as little as ₦200 and also buying shares too for extra income.. had two girls who was doing pos for me and my mom was my manager handling the business.. I get minimum of 15k profit everyday from my POS business if there’s no sales.. I’ve always been big on savings because if I go broke, no one is coming to save me.. I don’t go to owambes or parties… as a matter of fact, never been to any owambe party before.. My life was basically work and home and I hardly went out too so I spent years working hard and saving my money. When I was ready to travel, I used my savings and off I went.. funny enough, I didn’t tell any family member about my plans until my visa was approved not even my mum.. That was how I planned, saved and funded my journey myself.
People that JAPA through self sponsorship without scholarship aid, how did you guys raise the cash at hand required for the relocation process 🙏 Self sponsorship in this sense is that you raised the funds without the support of anyone

“Mummy, they said I should pay the school fees deposit.” “Daddy, I need money for the visa and IHS.” “Daddy, everything is ready. Can you book my flight?” I got here, worked my ass off to pay the remaining school fees, and paid some loans I took because of deadlines. God bless my parents. I know they didn’t have much, but they did everything to make sure I achieved my dreams. ❤️

In 2023, I packed my entire life into a 23kg suitcase and came to Canada with nothing but dreams, hope, and faith. Three years later, look at me. A Canadian Permanent Resident. 🥹🇨🇦❤️

EIGHT YEARS, a two-year journey to qualify to practise as a pharmacist in the UK, £23000 in tuition fees and visa fees and two degrees later. I’m finally a British citizen! 🇬🇧🎉 What a journey of growth, sacrifice and resilience! So grateful for how far I’ve come❤️🎉

Is there a government agency or individual we can report erring banks to ? The same way we report erring airlines to NACA and @mikeachimugu01 . @ZenithBank is messing me up big time. I was forced to open that account @ NYSC camp. Now I can’t access my money.

They promised me 48 hours to sort the issue, & now it’s been weeks, these people have aired me. I have sent countless mail and @ZenithBank doesn’t respond. You gave a timeline , didn’t meet up and yet refuse to respond to mail. What then are your customer care agents doing ??

If not for NYSC that made it compulsory that I must open an account , nothing would have brought me and your bank together. You guys have horrible services @ZenithBank @ZenithBank @ZenithBank
