Let me be very clear. If bringing down the largest child sex trafficking ring in history will “collapse the world as we know it” then the world as we know it needs to collapse.

You know what’s more dangerous for children than Tylenol? Pedophiles. Release the fucking Epstein files.

Apply a 2% tax on assets over £10 million, to raise up to £24 billion a year. Reform the Capital Gains Tax system to raise around £12 billion a year. End fossil fuel subsidies for oil and gas companies to raise £2.2 billion per year. I’m no chancellor, but I know logic.

Absolute buck-passing chaos at London Bridge again, attempting to travel w/mobility scooter. I had to kick off to get passenger assistance to do their actual job. And the government wants to persuade the disabled into work rather than PIP? Fucking hilarious.

My fellow disabled people, please protect yourself today. You don’t need to engage in the news at all if you don’t want to. You can block certain words on social media if it helps. You matter. Our lives matter. Please don’t lose hope. Lots of love ❤️ #DisabilityBenefits

As I go into two hours of work in a job I love and which was my entire life today, bear in mind @UKLabour that I cannot work without PIP enabling me to grasp just enough of my old life to carry on with this one #DisabilityBenefits

You’re going to have blood on your hands with this one and you know it. I’m a third-generation Labour voter, and you will never see my vote at the ballot box again. #DisabilityBenefits

A good night’s sleep won’t make me better. Nor will a nice rest or a nap. Painkillers just take the edge off the gnawing nerve pain enough to pretend to be functional. Note “pretend”. It’s not just me, this is life for most people on PIP. #disabilitybenefits

And before any keyboard geniuses wade in with their manly, abled views to tell me that two hours isn’t work…well, it’s all I can manage. #DisabilityBenefits

Passenger Assistance can be an absolute sack of bollocks at times. Today, not so much. A big “May the universe be good to you” to the staff member at London Bridge who travelled to my unmanned station with me to fetch the ramp and help me off the train.

And again tonight. Dunno whether the late shift lads just have more empathy with a disabled woman travelling late, or they’re just nicer guys in general. Yesterday at the end of the rush hour? Refused to get the ramp as the station the other end was unattended. Arse.

(Tbf, it’s not a huge drop down from train to platform, so I can usually manage with my walker - however, looking at the impending necessity of a scooter for MORE independence, so put money on how many times I’ll be driving along shouting “CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKERS!”)

London Bridge passenger assistance absolutely cover themselves in shit again - DO NOT tell someone with mobility issues to “hurry up” or “go to the other end of the platform” from where you’ve told them to wait. One day I’ll have something good to say. Today is not that day.

Replying to @sainsburys
@sainsburys Just had the joys of an ignorant and ableist delivery driver. For a start, he was more interested in carrying on his phone call talking about what sounded like a great night out, to be fair. However, I was standing at the door with a walking stick, and I’m /cont.

pretty obviously having to lean on the wall, and not able to stand for long etc. I really hurt myself bending at one point, and I got a very curt “what’s wrong with you?” for my trouble.

I realise it’s probably not the most fun day of the year to be a delivery driver, but I felt rushed and like an irritant. Perhaps a bit more disability training?

I’ve gone where the skies are blue. Same rodent.

In this evening’s disabled travel fun, a missing ramp on Platform 6 on London Bridge. Fair play to the platform staff that lifted my walker on (and I’m pretty sure were game for lifting ME on, but just offered a supporting arm eventually).

I mean, I’m reasonably able disabled (walking with a rollator, can manage one or two steps) despite chronic pain, but how in hell was a wheelchair user supposed to board the train?

Mostly, train staff are fantastic, that ableist shit at Brighton that can GTFO notwithstanding, but if really basic equipment goes walkies what on earth are they supposed to do?
