listen, if bitcoin dies, that's it. there won't be a second chance at separating money from state. i know you'd like to think that your hard fork will rise from the ashes like a phoenix but you simply cannot replicate the immaculate conception of bitcoin and all the network effects accrued over the last 18 years. it's bitcoin or nothing at all.

So Yanis Varoufakis called bitcoin "a breath-taking solution to as yet undiscovered problems" in 2014 when debating Andreas Antonopoulos. Anyone remember that? Now his movement DiEM25 says a Belgian bank closed its account without warning and won't say why. Tens of thousands of euros in donations LOST. So losing access to a bank account without explanation is one of the problems he said bitcoin had not yet found. Absolute cinema on display here 🚬

The amount of shit you’ll have to sit through before BTC gets to 126K. The chop, the fear, the constant it’s over posts, watching your position round trip and questioning whether you’re completely wrong. Then, when BTC finally reaches 126K, people will call you lucky. They won’t remember the months of doubt or the pressure it took to hold through it. They’ll just say you got lucky. Remember that.

Unfortunately 1) The money in the bank isn’t yours 2) The money in the bank isn’t money
BREAKING: 🇵🇾 What just happened in PARAGUAY is a WARNING for everyone on earth. More than 3 million people (60% of Paraguay's adult population) have lost access to EVERYTHING. Their bank accounts. Their pensions. Frozen. Inaccessible. Paraguay’s largest digital bank, Ueno Bank, has collapsed. The president of the Central Bank (who is deeply connected to Ueno) has just RESIGNED. Eight high-level executives including the founder and the Bank President are being detained. The people have taken to the streets to demand their money back. And rightly so. This is the model Milei and the rest of the Epstein class are pushing. This could happen ANYWHERE. Best to save in physical gold and physical silver, imo.

REASON NUMBER 1 MILLION THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR BITCOIN
People in Paraguay protest after their money disappears into thin air 🇵🇾 > Ueno Bank, which held money of 60% of the adult population was shut down by the govt for financial trouble > People lost their life savings and even the govt lost retirement money kept in the bank for elderly > Govt is now promising to reimburse some money to the poor, but the rich will still lose their entire wealth Paraguay has a PCI ~$10k, which some bhosads will claim must make it a paradise 😁

joking aside, the socialists coming to power is extremely bullish for bitcoin for 2 reasons: 1 - they are going to print a gazillion amount of dollars, unlike the republicans the socialists don't have to pretend to be "fiscally responsible" 2 - they will go on a assets seizure rampage, and a lot of people are going to learn that bitcoin is the only asset the state cannot touch If you have a lot of your wealth in real estate, stocks, or gold you should start learning about bitcoin now

At River a culture of security and paranoia has been in our DNA since day 1. Often that meant doing things the hard way instead of moving fast. For example, we have always operated our own custody system. This meant doing the work to be a regulated financial institution in our infancy instead of delegating the backend to companies like Prime Trust. We have always worked to minimize reliance on third parties where possible, and as our ability to build software systems accelerates we continue to delete both software and corporate dependencies. We budget a substantial % of our engineering resources every year to tackle tech debt and invest in security hardening. This means moving slower, but having confidence in our foundation and doing right by our clients. I personally give the company security training to every new employee who joins River and we constantly drive a culture of vigilance at the company. We tell every employee at River that their job is to be a security professional. Security isn't a team or a "thing" you do. It's a culture of extreme paranoia and humility - never feeling like you're secure enough and always trying to do better.

A gold analyst just made the best case for bitcoin I've heard all year. By accident. His whole thesis: "the beauty of gold is it's not used for anything." Send gold to $1,000,000 and nobody gets hurt. Send corn to $1,000 a bushel and people starve. Send oil there and the economy collapses. A reserve asset has to be useless, because money that doubles as something people need to consume punishes everyone the moment it goes up. He's right. He just stopped one step short. Gold still has day jobs. Jewelry, electronics, dentistry. Bitcoin is used for even less. It was built to be money and nothing else. No industrial demand fighting its monetary demand, nothing to melt down, no factory waiting on the supply. Gold is useless enough to be great money. Bitcoin is useless at everything except being money. Same principle, taken to its logical end. The purest reserve asset isn't the one with the fewest uses. It's the one with none.

Tragic irony of course that the Bitcoin haters get debanked They could have spent the last few years building and spreading unstoppable financial infrastructure but instead they let their ideologies blind them

Bitcoin at $77,326 range is the final trap for the middle class. You are waiting for a standard retail breakout to 100k. You are completely blind to the fact that the entire global financial system is currently running on life support behind the scenes. The real crisis isn't a shadow bank failure; it is the fact that major governments are completely drowning in their own debt interest. To prevent their own bond markets from collapsing, central banks are quietly prepping the largest coordinated currency devaluation in human history. They have to print money just to pay the interest on the money they already borrowed. The next move up won't be a normal bull run pump. It is going to be a violent, overnight gap triggered the second a major central bank officially blinks and forces an emergency liquidity injection to save its national banks. Bitcoin will not slowly drift up. It will gap straight to 130k in a matter of days because money managers around the world will panic-dump their melting government paper to front-run the coming wave of inflation. The elites are keeping the narrative quiet just long enough to finish building their own corporate entry rails. The moment that emergency printing starts, they will lock the retail gates and leave you holding empty digital bank balances. Bookmark this exact level. $77,326 is the last time you will ever see Bitcoin this cheap before the fiat money system officially enters its final countdown.
