Today's the day. My last on Beano. Sad to leave such a brilliant title. Having the honour of redesigning the comic in 2016 was a real highlight - but not as much as getting to work on it weekly with the best team ever. Elaine, Gary, Mark, Claire, Michelle & John - Thank You!

In 'this' country - Scotland - pensioners were told in 2014 that their pensions were safe and to be thankful for the English-as-British govt providing a pension. The reality? A pittance. In an Energy rich Scotland. It doesn't have to be this way - join the Yes movement today.
Gent in purple, "State pensioners who have contributed their whole lives are on a lot less than minimum wage"
"I'm very lucky to have a small German pension, and believe me, it's a lot more than what we pay in this country"
"Most of western Europe their pensions are much higher than the state pension in this country"
"I'm lucky I get a pension from the military"
"But people on the basic state pension, I reall feel sorry for them"
My view:
The full new State Pension is roughly £12,548 a year.
Someone working 37.5 hours a week on the £12.71 minimum wage earns about £24,785 before tax.
That puts the full new State Pension at barely half a full-time minimum-wage salary.
Government figures show that 12% of pensioner families received their income entirely from the State Pension and other state benefits in 2024/25.
That same year, around 1.7 million pensioners — one in seven — were living in relative poverty after housing costs.
A better pension means being able to heat your home, eat properly and see friends without calculating what you’ll have to go without afterwards.
It also means money spent in the communities where pensioners live.
After a lifetime of working, caring and contributing, financial security should be something people can expect.

The arrogance.
Scotland doesn’t need 'permission' for a referendum when we are a colony.
Colonies don’t seek permission for self determination from colonisers.
Very soon the English Gvt will have to answer at the UN for what it has done to Scotland.

We think we can say without fear of contradiction that Scottish voters didn't vote Labour in 2024 to send House Jocks to London to read out planted questions attacking the SNP and traducing Scotland. Labour's cowardly colonials are a modern day political scandal.

Labour won’t even give English children the Child Payment that Scottish bairns receive which has reduced child poverty levels to lowest in the UK.
Labour's @michaeljmarra: "This government can't even give Scottish kids an overpriced school bag without handing the contract to Chinese manufacturing.
"If you don't support the projects which protect and deliver Scottish jobs, how on earth are you going to grow our economy?"

Only in Scotland would the press and media find a way to attack the Scottish government for capping bus fares at £2.
It's a relentless stream of SNPbad.

The fact that Liz Truss was at Mar a Largo last night when the midterm results started coming in rather poetic. Literally everything she attaches herself to turns to absolute shite almost immediately.😂😂😂

When he tumbles down the stairs, I honestly can’t stop laughing. I showed this to a 15-year-old who had never heard of Peter Sellers or The Pink Panther, and when she saw this scene, she nearly peed herself laughing so hard!

A reminder of the amount of “Scotland bad” stories pedalled by @BBCScotlandNews .
No wonder they are not trusted.

Imagine a situation where the entire MSM in Canada was pro-USA Government.
In Scotland you don't need to imagine such things as Scotland has an entirely pro-UK Government MSM.

Remember Scotland, we have Westminster controlled red and blue Tory agents in Holyrood who spend our money and time using FOI requests to find ways to trash their country, and the BBC happily broadcast their smears. They are all treacherous scabs!!!!!
