Footage shows dozens of civilians trapped inside the governorate building,while supporters of the ISIS set their vehicles on fire outside—all in the complete absence of STG.

Dozens of Kurdish civilians are trapped inside the district administration building, while ISIS supporters and Turkish mercenaries burn their cars outside, amid the total absence of security forces, leaving the civilians to fend for themselves.
ISIS cells and Turkish mercenaries are attacking Kurds returning to Tal Abyad and besieging them inside the district directorate building amid fears of a massacre. They have smashed their cars and burned 8 vehicles belonging to Kurdish civilians so far.

ISIS remnants are burning the property of displaced Kurds in Tal Abyad / Girê Spî.
This is the mindset of treating land and property as spoils, seeking to turn occupation into a fait accompli, displacement into a means of seizure, and intimidation into a tool to silence the rightful owners of the land.
But land is not spoils of war, and the property of displaced people is not a reward for those who seized it behind the tanks of the occupying forces. The forced absence of its rightful owners grants no one the right to confiscate or dispose of their property.
These attacks are not separate from the occupation of Tal Abyad and Sere Kaniye in 2019 and the displacement of their Kurdish inhabitants. Rather, they represent a continuation of a course of action aimed at entrenching a reality imposed by terrorism and occupation at the expense of the rightful owners of the land and their rights.
Responsibility does not rest solely with those carrying out these acts of intimidation; it also requires holding accountable the parties that support or turn a blind eye to them, and investigating the role of everyone contributing to the entrenchment of this reality.

إنها عقلية الغنيمة التي تحاول تحويل الاحتلال إلى أمر واقع، والتهجير إلى وسيلة للاستيلاء، والترهيب إلى أداة لإسكات أصحاب الأرض.
لكن الأرض ليست غنيمة، وممتلكات المهجّرين ليست مكافأة لمن استولى عليها من خلال دبابات الاحتلال، وغياب أصحابها القسري لا يمنح أحداً حق مصادرتها أو التصرف بها.
إن هذه الاعتداءات ليست منفصلة عن احتلال تل أبيض وسريه كانيه عام 2019 وتهجير سكانها الكرد، بل تمثّل استمراراً لنهج يهدف إلى تثبيت واقع فرضته الإرهاب والاحتلال على حساب أصحاب الأرض وحقوقهم.
إن المسؤولية لا تقع على من ينفّذ هذه الاعتداءات الترهيبية فحسب، بل تستوجب أيضاً مساءلة الجهات التي تدعمها أو تتغاضى عنها، والتحقيق في دور كل من يساهم في تكريس هذا الواقع.
