Good Friday evening, friends! 🙏
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”
Psalm 91:1–2 (NIV)🙏
There is something so peaceful about sitting on a covered porch while the rain falls gently outside. You can hear the raindrops, watch the clouds roll by, and feel the comfort of knowing you're sheltered from the storm.
What a beautiful reminder of the protection and peace we find in our Heavenly Father.
Life has a way of bringing storms we never expected. Some arrive suddenly, while others seem to linger far longer than we would like. We face worries about our families, our health, our finances, and situations that are simply beyond our control.
But Psalm 91 reminds us that we have a place of refuge that no earthly storm can take away.
God doesn't promise that we will never face difficulties. He promises that we never have to face them without Him.
When our hearts are troubled, we can turn to Him. When tomorrow feels uncertain, we can trust His faithfulness. And when the burdens of this world become too heavy, we can find rest in His presence.
Our peace doesn't have to depend on everything around us being perfect. It comes from knowing that the One who holds tomorrow is the same loving Father who is watching over us tonight.
So as this Friday comes to a close, whatever you've been carrying this week, bring it before the Lord. You don't have to figure everything out before you close your eyes. You can trust Him with the things you cannot change.
He is our refuge. He is our fortress. And He is always worthy of our trust.
🙏 Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being our shelter in every season of life. When worries surround us and circumstances feel overwhelming, remind us that Your presence is our safest place.
Tonight, we lift up those who are hurting, those who are weary, and those who are facing battles that others cannot see. Wrap them in Your comfort, strengthen their faith, and fill their hearts with Your peace.
Help us release the burdens we were never meant to carry alone. Watch over our families and loved ones, protect our homes, and grant us peaceful rest tonight.
May we wake tomorrow with renewed strength and grateful hearts, trusting that Your love and faithfulness never fail.
In Jesus precious name, Amen. 🙏
Before you settle in tonight, what is one worry you're choosing to place in God's hands?
Peace and grace to you.
See you in the morning for coffee. ☕
