I keep saying this and it bears repeating: Many conservatives, often Christians, are aligning themselves with people on this platform who are merely anti-woke. Being against the sexual mutilation of children or Islam or open borders is setting the bar awfully low for what constitutes a conservative. Real conservatism is rooted in a Judeo-Christian worldview. It’s rooted in the Decalogue. I want the anti-woke to join us in winning elections. But I don’t want them diluting the values of the Right. Be discerning. Be wise. And don’t hitch your ideological wagon to just any yahoo on here. Some of them are wolves in sheep’s clothing out to deceive you.

My beloved brethren, I greet you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, I write with tears in my eyes and a pain in my heart that words cannot fully explain. I have buried people I loved. Members of my own family have been killed. Church members who worshipped with us, prayed with us and served God with us have been taken away from this world. People who woke up in the morning expecting to return to their families never came home. And I keep asking myself... What is our crime? What have we done to deserve this? Who have we offended? What is the gain in all these killings? Why should a child lose a father simply because that father professed Christ? Why should a mother bury her children? Why should widows and orphans be created again and again while the world watches? My beloved, Christians are not asking for the death of anyone. We are asking for the right to live. We are asking for the right to worship God without fear. We are asking for our children to grow up, go to school, return home safely and praise God. Jesus said in Matthew 5:10, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” If our faith is the reason we are hated, then we will continue to hold on to Christ. But I ask those who are killing innocent people: What do you gain when you destroy a family? What do you gain when you turn children into orphans? What do you gain when you make a mother cry over the body of her son? Can blood build a better nation? Can the tears of widows bring peace? Can the graves of innocent people give anyone victory? The Bible says in Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” So I mourn. I mourn for my family. I mourn for my church members. I mourn for every innocent Christian who has been killed. I mourn for every widow who now sleeps alone. I mourn for every child who asks, “Where is my father?” And I mourn for Nigeria. But even through my tears, I will not abandon Christ. The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Lord, draw near to every broken family. Lord, comfort every widow. Lord, wipe the tears of every orphan. Lord, protect those who are still living in fear. And Lord, give wisdom and courage to those entrusted with protecting innocent lives. We do not want revenge. We want justice. We want peace. We want a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims can live together, worship God according to their conscience, raise their children and sleep without fear. My beloved Nigerians, how many more graves must we see before our hearts are broken enough to cry out together? How many more mothers must we comfort? How many more children must become orphans? How many more churches must bury their members? How many more families must disappear before we say, “Enough”? I may be tired, I may be wounded, and I may have lost people I love, but I will continue to speak for the innocent. Because silence cannot bring back the dead. And fear will not make me deny my Lord. As Jesus said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” May God remember every family that has lost someone. May God heal Nigeria. May God protect His people. May God bring an end to the bloodshed. And may the day come when Nigerian children no longer grow up knowing the sound of gunfire, but only the sound of laughter, worship and peace. I remain your brother in Christ, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6

As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord GOD. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice. And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. And I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. I am the LORD; I have spoken. Ezekiel 34:12, 15-16, 23-24

Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your indignation toward us! Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. Psalms 85:4-7

the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Proverbs 2:6-8

My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:1-6

For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads. They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones. They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”…….. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O LORD. Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace, that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth. Psalms 83:2-4,16-18

In an ancient church, now restored and beautified, not far from the seacoast and in a remote part of the southwest of England, I observed a memorial window placed there by a noble lady in remembrance to her only son. And under this window were inscribed the simple and touching words of Luke: “the only son of his mother, and she was a widow.” Afflictions are the common lot of the children of men. The evangelist’s words, in all their beautiful simplicity, have been applicable to many in all stations of life and in every age of the world. James instructs that it is an important part of “pure religion” “to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.” God, speaking by Jeremiah, says, “Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive, and let thy widows trust in me.” And the compassionate Savior, when on earth, took pity on the forlorn condition of the widow of Nain and raised her son to life again. We may therefore conclude that a woman who has lost her husband and natural protector, and especially one who has also lost her son, the support of her advancing years, is especially the object of the compassion of God and that He would have His servants show sympathy with the widow in her desolation. And, should anyone thus afflicted ever take up this book, may she find a friend in her Savior, who can and will supply all her need! There is no friend like Him, “the same yesterday, and today, and forever,” powerful, tender, full of compassion— with balm for every wound, with comfort for every sorrow! He who shed tears at the grave of Lazarus (for “Jesus wept”) is still observant of the sufferings and trials of His poor servants and regards them with sympathy from the throne of His glory. - Elizabeth Julia Hasel

These are the proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, king of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. These proverbs will give insight to the simple, knowledge and discernment to the young. Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles. Proverbs 1:1-6
