Watching those in power fail to take real climate action has been painful. We’ve been given a clear deadline, and we have solutions available. With the right leadership and political courage, we can fix this. thestar.com/opinion/contribu…
On behalf of all within the Green Party of Canada, we grieve with all impacted by the tragedy in #WainwrightAlberta. Our armed forces have not experienced such a horrific loss in peacetime.

Raise taxes or cut services?
Those are the choices Doug Ford is forcing on small towns in Ontario. Greens are calling for a new deal for municipalities, one that increases funding while maintaining local control.

The Green Party opposed Bill C-5 from the start. Now the Liberals want to remove one of the few limits placed on it.
Bill C-5 was meant to sunset after five years, stopping its “national interest” powers from being handed to future governments. Bill C-39 erases that safeguard.

More oil, more pollution, more extinction, more public money wasted. That’s what a pipeline of “national interest” means.

My heart is with Tsawwassen First Nation. Losing two beloved Elders in such a terrible way, on a day already marked by grief, is heartbreaking. I’m thinking of the families, loved ones, and community as they deal with this devastating loss. Holding you in my thoughts and prayers.

Reconciliation is a responsibility we all share. Greens are committed to turning that responsibility into action through accountability, justice and meaningful change, today and every day.
What happened at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc is beyond disturbing. A masked group arrived on the Nation’s land displaying hateful signs targeting the children who never came home from residential schools.
There must be a full investigation to hold those responsible accountable.

IPM is a celebration of rural Ontario and the farmers that are crucial to our food sovereignty. It's also a reminder that we need to do more to protect farmland. That's why we'll keep pushing for the Foodbelt, to permanently protect farmland in Ontario. Find out more: gpo.ca/foodbelt
