Happy Birthday to Adam Ant. Born Stuart Leslie Goddard this day in 1954 in Marylebone, London. English singer songwriter. He gained popularity as the lead singer of Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist #AdamAnt π
I've been on this train for 3 and a half hours so far and been tortured by the sound of a child's musical toy playing "Old McDonald" type tunes behind me ALL THE WAY. π±π¬ And my seat being kicked. Only another 45mins and I can get off.
I didn't expect to be travelling home to Northumberland via Diss, Stowmarket and Ipswich, but when I found out about all the rail engineering/bus replacements via Ely and York, it seemed better all round to stay with my boys in London and travel Avanti West Coast tomorrow.
Thank you YHA Sheringham for another brilliant stay. You might arrive alone but soon are chatting to others. And then there's the excitement and laughter of people watching Traitors final in the common room (sorry, lounge.) π

Wordle 1,960 5/6. Well that was scary. Thought it was the end of 169 day streak, but all's well.

Excellent day bus roving from Sheringham to Hunstanton and back. Enjoyed a wander around Wells trying to suss out the bus stops. If you know you know!
8 hrs. door to door, and bang on time. Well done Northern Rail, LNER, East Midlands Railway and Greater Anglia. π
Blurry train window snap. Spotted a kite?, hare and some strange little dark deer unfamiliar to me. (I've been hiding this π’ most of the way from Peterborough to Norwich. So emotional. Silly old woman!)
It always feels like coming home, which I can trace back to about 1965 when Dad used to drive us across from Derby before we moved to Stowmarket. Deep seated.
I'm on the train! En route to Sheringham which is a 4 train journey from home, 9 'till 5. π
So looking forward to seeing the Fens this afternoon on the way to Norwich, and the 3 overnights at YHA Sheringham. A 2 rucksack trip. π€£ππ

π¬ Recorded in December 1964, this unforgettable two-minute performance was captured in one unedited takeβno cuts, no tricks, just pure talent. Every note had to be perfect. Decades later, its raw authenticity remains captivating. β¨
