I’ve seen multiple government bots claiming that we get USD 3,000 for flight tickets, USD 1,000 for POS transactions, and USD 250 for e-commerce. That’s not how it works. I don’t get to buy a flight ticket and then travel abroad with another USD 1,000 POS card limit. I’ve confirmed this directly with the @bankofmaldives . A return ticket to China costs around USD 700–800. Once I purchase the ticket, I’m left with only USD 200–300 for POS transactions. I don’t blame BML for this, as the bank has not promoted it that way. It’s the political bots who have been spreading this misleading narrative.
