In 2008, at age 30 while at Liverpool, Jamie Carragher publicly attacked the club's owners in his autobiography, also criticising manager Rafa Benitez.
He said he felt physically ill at them making a profit on the club, accusing them of planning to build a new stadium to make money & increase the club's value.
The owners also broke their vow not to load debt onto the club from the leveraged buyout, causing yearly interest payments. Jeez, sounds eerily similar huh.
Almost as if he & Lisandro Martinez have a bit in common here, except that this is personal to him. Should he have written a book instead, @Carra23?
