This is why actual politicians and their staff on the ground handle redistricting, and not twitter accounts with Hot Air Balloon pictures. Indiana and South Carolina avoided wipeouts of their delegations by refusing to redistrict. The same can't be said for North Carolina

The SC GOP showed a surprising amount of political acumen in nixing last year's proposed redistricting plan. Had they gone through with their attempted 7-0 lockout map, it easily could have backfired and yielded a 6-1 split for Dems. Makes one wonder if southern Rs will think twice about dismantling the remaining VRA districts in GA, SC, AL, etc...

Fascinating to watch some people put out “statements” about last night. I believe the best statement we can make would be to listen (and really listen) to what voters said, go back to work, and SHOW them good policy and not just taking points about how to make their life better. That’s what mayors do. And that’s the statement I want to be ultimately judged on. Policy>Politics

Mears’ response to this case is deeply troubling. After a devastating case involving child sexual abuse material, he says he “would have liked to have seen more aggressive advocacy” for prison time… Then why didn’t your office do it? This case deserved so much better.

I broke this story more than a year ago and today Julian Wachner found out he will face no prison time for possession of hours long videos of girls and boys being raped. Wachner admitted he made hundreds of purchases of the child sexual abuse material using crypotcurrency and had a "substantial quantity of cocaine" inside his bedroom closet when he was arrested. Back in 2025 Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears told us the allegations were horrifying and unimaginable sexual abuse of infants. He put out a statement at the time saying his office would "aggressively prosecute the case." Wachner entered into a plea deal and today was sentenced to 6 years probation. He will have to register as a sex offender but spend no time in prison. I will have more reaction tomorrow morning at 6:45AM on Fox59 Morning News. @FOX59

We haven't really known how to put into words the tragic passing of our beloved Mr. Pat Crosley R'87. We were blessed to have him as a teacher, coach, Driver's Ed instructor, mentor and friend for nearly 30 years at Roncalli High School. The hallways will feel emptier without him
