There are though to be over 1m unbanked people in the UK.
The regulator does need to look at whether banks are political decisions about who they want to have accounts with them (who wants banks to be the arbiter of morals)
Yet while less high profile, we should also address the societal problem of the many vulnerable people disenfranchised from finances, because they haven't got the ID, the help or a right to a bank account.
