🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.

Agreed! We have to fight for diversity at so many levels in the scientific process. I just got back a manuscript review that criticized our main analysis for being cross-ancestry. The reviewer suggested we focus on the largest group - European ancestry. That’s just so wrong.

Hey #SOBP2024. Come find me at the meeting if you're looking to move to a supportive institution w/resources, ambitious goals, + inspiring leadership. There are MANY terrific opportunities at Purdue for post-docs, analysts, etc to join my group or become faculty in sociogenomics.
The Dunn Lab is majorly expanding given my new role at Purdue. If you're in the Midwest/contemplating a move there - and #ThinkBroadlyLeadBoldly - join our fast-paced, interdisciplinary, and dynamic team. We are hiring for multiple roles. Learn more here: thedunnlab.com/hiring
