I think the main problem with the game right now is that one launcher into a wall combo, followed up with another mix-up, can kill you. Yoshi is the worst example - I've never seen such a ridiculous mix-up as Yoshi's wall combo with FC sword or F1+2. You can literally die after getting launched just once against Yoshi. The same thing goes for Bryan, with his crazy wall carry into a stupid wall combo, and then you have to take either a taunt mix-up or just die lying on the ground.
The second biggest problem is the chip damage. It will never make sense to me why blocking isn't rewarding. Why should you take a lot of chip damage and die just because you guessed right and defended? The saddest part is that, as a competitor, the match isn't in your hands - it's mostly based on luck, unlike previous games where skill used to matter.
We might see some improvements with the chip damage in the upcoming balance patch, but the first problem is more serious, in my opinion. Nerfing characters or moves has always been easy, as we've seen with Fahkumram and Leroy in the past, but adjusting or nerfing the system is hard. We might have to wait until Season 3, as Harada said in his tweet that the first two years are usually like this. I'm still hopeful for Season 2.
Also, sometimes it saddens me to think that, as a pro player, I have to play the game regardless of whether I enjoy it or not. I have to get better because this is my job. I've said many times that I love Tekken, and I'm here because of Tekken, which is true. The reason I'm writing is that I really want Tekken to be the best game, where we can all enjoy and learn the game together and have fun - and it has the potential.
