Russia has never vetoed an Irish peacekeeping mission. The only country that actually did so was the US (in August 2025, when Washington insisted on winding down the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon).
One might reasonably expect the Taoiseach to know this. Particularly when he's lecturing others about Irish neutrality.
🇮🇪 “How dare you lecture me about Irish neutrality?” An Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD
Russia “should not have a veto on Irish participation in peacekeeping.”

By aligning itself with the uniparty on the Ukraine war, @reformparty_uk has abandoned its claim to put Britain first. It has also crippled its ability to fix this country's problems should it gain power. @Nigel_Farage is morphing his party into cheeky chappie @Conservatives.

.@sageoftheshire. NATO ceased to be a defensive alliance when it bombed Yugoslavia and then Libya, neither of which had attacked any NATO member. How did you not notice, genius? .
Replying to @ClarkeMicah @PSoffe1
You and Kagan are wrong. It is not a provocation for a sovereign nation to join a defensive alliance, unless you are a violent psychotic nation who wants to attack that nation. You support violent psychopaths.

Why is it harder and harder to buy a house?
Even if your wage keeps up with inflation…
Because inflation-adjusted dollars don’t work. When central banks say inflation is 3% or 5%, they’re talking bollocks.
They don’t factor in money supply. But money supply is inflation. It’s all a whopping great lie.
They don’t include house prices either.
I bet that now that house prices are falling, they start including them.
That’s why I like to measure things in gold. Gold tells the truth. theflyingfrisby.com/p/how-mu…

The head of NATO jokes that he and Zelenskyy will be safely getting drunk in a Swiss sky resort after the war is over.
The immorality and detachment from reality of this man is unbearable.
It’s not just his words that are shocking, It’s the pride he shows when he says them.

The Irish Times's Conor Gallagher uses Mark Malone of H&CC as a source for his reporting on political extremism.
Mark Malone is an open anarchist who has no professional qualifications to qualify as an extremism expert. He employs no methodology that can provide reliable data to develop any useful models of extremism for the Irish scene and when challenged by me, he was unable to identify basic social network analysis methods employed by extremism experts.
He is a radically-partisan activist posing as an expert whose 'methods' amount to guilt by association of people he dislikes - and spends an inordinate amount of time fighting with and abusing - on social media.
In other words, Conor Gallagher is coming to bat for a lecturer who faked his credentials below because he platforms another guy who also pretends to be an expert in the field of extremism and misinformation - that is, he's hip-deep in the "culture war battles" he speaks of. Felle was a darling of the national media because he gave partisan and activist journalists a sheen of credibility for their agenda-driven pieces.
The only thing "exhausting" is Conor Gallagher trying to pretend legitimate dismay about academic credential fraud is a "culture war" issue. Very poor deflection.

SpaceX will attempt to catch both the Super Heavy booster and Starship on the upcoming flight.
If both are successful, it will mark the first time that all parts of an orbital rocket return to Earth intact.
This is the critical breakthrough needed to make life multiplanetary.
More than a dozen flight tests and years of development, with countless hours worked by SpaceX engineers and technicians, all come down to this: the first orbital Starship launch carrying advanced Starlink satellites bound for space.

People are broke because of Ukraine, and there's a class of paid EU propagandists still trying to scare people out of anything they've left so all remaining wealth makes it's way up.
Russia is believed to be behind the multiplying hybrid attacks across Europe designed to fan disruption, confusion, and distrust. The recent freezer attacks along with drone attacks at airports have direct economic impact.
“Bomb threats on Friday forced the evacuation of Irish newsrooms, including national broadcaster RTÉ, as airlines and airports across Europe faced fresh disruption following a wave of hoaxes earlier in the week.
RTÉ and Newstalk briefly went off air, with RTÉ resuming radio broadcasts from a mobile unit outside its headquarters amid heavy police presence. The threats came a week before Ireland hosts 50 European leaders, including Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for two summits.”
