I know I was a small streamer, but you guys made me feel like I was a big deal. I'll never be able to thank you enough for all the bad days you made better or the good days you made incredible. I love you all and I just wanted to share some of my favourite moments I had with you.

Someone who DM’d a bunch of my friends saying I was toxic and shit and then deleted his account when they all ignored him or called him out on it is now back with a new account based around YuGiOh and Pokemon. He’s also pretending he doesn’t know people he argued with on here. 🤣
I genuinely think that if you’ve never played Destiny you missed out on one of the most incredible pieces of media ever created. Yes, there were bad times, but the good outweighed the bad. Forever my favourite game(s).

Catching up on all this. On vacation with the wife and son.
So here’s where I am. GCX was an event built on community. From my perspective this looks like we got investment and changed our tone. That will not fly from my end.
@kevinxvision has set up a meeting on Monday to speak with artists (he’s been out of town all week) to come to a solution while also investigating why the fuck a valued member of our community felt slighted.
I’m not even sure where when or how this shift happened. I’m not even in a place to make an executive decision. But I will be an absolute thorn until our community trusts they are the reason we exist.
I cannot tell you how much it pains me to say this.
As things currently stand, I will not be exhibiting at or attending GCX in 2027 or the indefinite future.
The event has restructured their pricing and is eliminating the option to purchase a large booth for artist alley (eliminating a discount that we did not know we had), raising the cost of my booth footprint (same case for @bansheebotpete and @RazorsEdgeRaz ) for the last few years by over 200%. Artists with smaller booths are also seeing hundreds of dollars in service downgrades.
While asking for clarification and seeking solutions, we have been treated with a baffling amount of disrespect by an employee of the show (to be clear, this is not directed at Shane, who has always advocated for artists and devs alike, he’s a gem). Veteran artists are being removed from spaces they helped to shape and then being lied about, having their character attacked. I don’t know how we got here.
This tone shift feels like a turn from community to capital and it's hard to ignore.
Between this sudden and concerning price increase and the failure to promote Artist Alley during my time as an exhibitor in any meaningful way, it just isn't an expense I can justify anymore. We aren’t even listed on the event page. There were no GCX-official promotional posts. I’m tired.
Let me be clear. I am crushed. I am gutted.
And still, I will never stop making Destiny art. That’s what this is about, at its core. This community means the world to me, and that passion will never leave me. With some adjustments in attitude and pricing, I would love to return someday.
If you've gotten yourself a ticket to GCX expecting to find me in Artist Alley, I am deeply sorry to say that you won't be seeing me there.
I'm going to really miss my morning commute.
This feels like a massive tonal shift away from what made GCX special, which was COMMUNITY. Something the Bungie community could always be proud of was that when you put a bunch of them in a space together, they could make magic. Don’t stray from that @GCXEvent. It’s all you have

Replying to @SimplySubstance
I’m just baffled that someone other than Hila would willingly want to sleep with Ethan. Eww.
I saw someone suggest that Raider's bodies shouldn't be lootable in the PvE mode because of griefing, but I genuinely think that's a horrible idea because of how map loot works. Some people are legitimately dying to AI after getting the best loot on the map. Should be lootable.

I’m soooooooo tired of people acting like hate speech doesn’t matter if it’s online (/ in a video game). Words matter. People matter.
The media we consume online shapes our worldview, defines our interests, and questions our morals.
Just because you are behind a screen, doesn’t mean you are not a human being capable of empathy.
👍
