I have a playlist of 450 VN tracks but without exaggeration or hype of the moment I can confidently say that what I just listened is THE BEST TRACK I've ever heard in a VN
it's fascinating how much a single piece of music can characterize a character through the art of sound

the way people dog on Japanese people for diddy media gives me the same vibes as Hansen-downstream pedo hunters. There's no actual justice or systemic progress done, it's all just masturbating to the spectacle of violence as substitute for social activism

self-proclaimed "woke anti-racist leftists" the moment it becomes trendy to hate on a national or ethnic group

I do find interesting that experiencing stories as "lore" (ie a series of factoids and quotes) has completely nuked the ability of people to understand when a character is wrong or lying.
I've seen a lot of posts about how Talulah is "obviously unforgivable", she says so herself

New update for my Arknights story reader: arknights.timo.beer
- Comics: the official comics in English, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese
- Terminology: around 140 terms from the world are underlined in the stories, with a short explanation on hover
- A new Terms page collects every one you've come across so far
- World map: a map of Terra that fills in as you read about new places
The terms and the map only show what you've already read, so Terra shows alongside the story

I made a web reader for Arknights' story, and it's open to everyone: arknights.timo.beer
Every main chapter, side story, vignette, operator record, and module, made to look as close to the game’s own reader with backgrounds, character sprites, effects, music and voices.
Stories
- around 2,900 stories and over 5 million words, from the Prologue to Episode 17 and every event, including past events like the Monster Hunter collab and then Ave Mujica Collab
- 423 operator cards with their records, modules, and voice lines
- text, sprites, camera effects, screen shakes and particle effects made to look like in game
- the cutscene videos
- artwork, sprite, and music viewers for every story, hidden by default if you haven’t read them yet
Reading order
- a story map and reading orders, including release order and a reading guide by MajorArcana01
- search across all stories
Languages
- stories in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese
- the UI in 32 languages (English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, हिन्दी, Español, Français, العربية, Português, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia, Deutsch, 日本語, Türkçe, Tiếng Việt, Filipino, 한국어, فارسی, Bahasa Melayu, Italiano, ไทย, Polski, Українська, Nederlands, Română, Čeština, Magyar, Ελληνικά, Svenska, עברית, Dansk, Suomi, Norsk)
- 4 reading modes including a dyslexia friendly font
Syncing
- your progress is saved and it syncs between your phone and PC with no account
- dark and light themes, reading styles, and many config options for the reader
- works on phones and tablets too
It's an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Hypergryph or Yostar.
