Will be shocked if we keep him for another season after this one. Brilliant talent #LCFC
𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙚 🔎 The 18-year-old Man United tried desperately to sign for £15m, who has stayed at Leicester and is more than holding his own in League One this season. A modern-day central midfielder who is comfortable in both defensive and attacking phases. The 6ft Leicester lad has the physicality and technical ability to drive smoothly through opposition lines. He also possesses an impressive level of tactical understanding for a player of his age, alongside the composure under pressure and vision to pick out key forward passes. He began his youth football career at Lutterworth Athletic before moving to Leicester City's academy aged nine and never looked back. He was part of Leicester’s U16 Premier League Cup-winning side before being named Academy Player of the Season at just 16, having played for both their U18s and U21s. Page made his first-team debut at the start of last season, won the Championship's Apprentice of the Season award and has since become a key player in Russell Martin's team, alongside fellow academy graduates Sammy Braybrooke (who we profiled in September) and Will Alves. This season, only three Leicester players have played more minutes than Page, and he's registered three assists while playing as their midfield metronome. He leads League One for through balls per 90 and averages more progressive carries per 90 than any other League One midfielder, frankly ridiculous for an 18-year-old! His rise has been just as rapid for England, where he made his first Three Lions appearances for the U17s in 2024 before featuring at both the U17 Euros and U17 World Cup last year. This year, he captained the U18s vs Cyprus but has predominantly been playing for Ben Futcher's U19s. Like some of his England teammates - Ryan McAidoo, Luca Williams-Barnett and Max Dowman - we wouldn't be surprised to see young Louis make the jump and play Premier League minutes in the next 18 months.

Since the start of the 23/24 season, Harry Kane has scored 33 goals in 41 games for England and 156 in 158 for Bayern Munich. 👑

Also a good night for Declan Rice and Ebere Eze, who both scored at the Allianz, but frustratingly, Bukayo Saka went off with a suspected quad injury.

Swansea 0-1 West Ham was the biggest game of the Championship season so far. It was won by a 19 year old English player, Divine Mukasa, showing exceptional talent. Championship episode of the pod this week maybe my favourite of the season so far - listen here 👇

If you’re interested in the reality of being a football manager then give my interview with former Barrow boss Andy Whing a listen. He’s a great man and I’m glad he’s in a place where he can talk about the impact the pressure has had on his mental health open.spotify.com/episode/5fE…

Great to see! Archer showed enough at PNE and Boro (age 21/22) to prove that he is, when in rhythm, a lethal finisher with both feet. Premier League likely a bit beyond him but no reason he can't score a ton of goals and have a great career literally anywhere else.

🔥 18 year defender Stephen Mfuni, in his second Premier League appearance Started two games for Carsley’s U21s in last camp, one at CB, one at LB. Just listen to how Watford fans talk about his 8 games for them last season, and you realise the Man City loanee is something pretty special.

Good international camp for Mikey Moore (U20s captain) and straight into a good weekend winning the Rhine derby.
Mikey Moore had a pretty good game for Köln (2-1 vs BMG) yesterday. Some nice touches, a couple of driving runs and a snapshot that threatened to creep inside the post during the the first half. Call it 7-out-of-10.

The location for England’s WC qualifier against Greece tonight in Crete is pretty stunning but unfortunately it’s not managed to bring out the locals. 500 travelling Lionesses fans showing up in strong support. Pankritio stadium has the old school athletic track vibes

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Erica Parkinson made her #Lionesses debut today becoming England women’s youngest ever player. The North Carolina Courage midfielder came on in the 85th minute of England’s 3-1 win over Greece. At 18 years and 174 days, she breaks Michelle Agyemang’s record.
