I've spent 13+ years in software testing and engineering.
I've interviewed QA engineers, built automation, tested APIs and worked on real-world products.
Now I'm exploring how AI is changing the way we test and build software.
On this account I share:
• Real QA interview lessons
• Test automation
• API & UI testing
• SDET career advice
• AI testing & AI workflows
• Things I've learned from breaking software
If you're a QA engineer, SDET or someone trying to get into automation — you're in the right place.
Many softwares are at risk with this scale. 30,000 PR merges per day is not a easy job.
New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control.
In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.
Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

One candidate join our organisation last week and then shows his intentions to resign but after discussions he decided to stay with organisation. But after two days he officially put his paper. Asking leaders how to deal with such situations?
@vaneshmali any thoughts?
How I Take Interviews
- Project background
- Detailed project knowledge: microservices, user transactions, BFF and web BFF roles
- Queuing system like Kafka
- Database interactions
- Framework design approach
- Java design patterns
- AI
- CI/CD
While interviewing a 11+ years candidate yesterday, I realised some senior QA engineers are still not good at framework development and best design practices.
I am not denying they are good testers, but as seniors in the team it is our responsibility to understand how we can scale our frameworks.
If we are not providing those guidelines to the team, we need to improve ourselves as leaders.
Don’t compete with AI. Learn to test with it. 🚀
AI won’t replace software testers.
But testers who refuse to adapt may be replaced.
The game is changing.
AI can generate test cases.
AI can write automation.
AI can analyze failures.
But understanding the product, questioning assumptions, and thinking like a real user is the ultimate key
Playwright ✅ | Cypress ❌
If I had to choose one for modern web automation:
Playwright — YES ✅
Cypress — NO ❌
Hey @grok tell me the future of software testing job for next 5 years. Compare it with other key roles and share me future.
Rs 43 saving but a loss of Rs 150.
Day before yesterday I placed an order from @zomato because my wife was not at home. The order was simple: 3 rotis and one half veg sabji. I was charged 297 rupees.
Yesterday while coming back from office I thought of buying it myself from the restaurant. I asked my friend to wait a couple of minutes. I was surprised that the same 3 rotis and sabji cost around 160 rs only. The sabji price at the same restaurant is 130 rs only.
I was aware these companies charge more compared to offline restaurants. The difference was almost double for a small order.
We might be convinced to get things delivered at home, but the actual cost is too much.
Was discussing over the call with my friend and found out that we both forgot to carry our wallet and entirely relying on UPI. But now I think we have to remember that UPI is not going to help and we have to carry cash everytime 😢

🚨Oracle. Adidas. Different industries. Same message.🚨
Oracle has started another round of layoffs, while Adidas has confirmed job cuts in its India technology organisation, with reports saying nearly half of its Gurugram tech-hub workforce could be affected.
Software engineers. Data engineers. Data scientists.
The job market is changing faster than ever.

Me after checking this tweet and seeing my portfolio .
Why even i am investing 😀
Me: I’m investing for the long term.
Also me after 17 minutes:
Why hasn't Jio Finance doubled yet? 👀
Patience.exe has stopped working. 😂

₹2,000 UPI limit? 🚨
For Software Testers, this means a whole new set of use cases to test:
✅ ₹1,999 vs ₹2,000 vs ₹2,001
✅ P2P vs P2M
✅ MDR calculation: 0.4%
✅ ₹75K+ cap scenarios
✅ Small merchant exemptions
✅ Railways/telecom/fuel special pricing
✅ Refunds & reversals
✅ Partial/failed transactions
✅ Boundary & rounding cases
One policy change → hundreds of test scenarios.
This is why QA isn’t just about testing features.
We test business rules, edge cases and real-world impact.
What other edge case would you add? 👇

On Engineers’ Day, remembering Sir M. Visvesvaraya Ji — a visionary engineer whose remarkable vision, discipline, innovation, and engineering excellence continue to inspire generations.
His legacy reminds us that great engineering is not just about building things—it’s about solving problems, serving society, and creating lasting impact.
Happy Engineers’ Day to every engineer who keeps building a better future. 🇮🇳⚙️
