Gator fans flexing 52 points from 1995 like Georgia didn't hang 75–0 on them in Jacksonville in 1942 for the largest blowout in the 122-year history of the rivalry. Frank Sinkwich and Charley Trippi dropped three quarters of a hundred on them and picked them off 7 times. Count 1904, count 1942, and get ready for Saturday in the Benz. 🔴⚫️ #GoDawgs
Georgia fans keep bringing up 1904. Let’s talk about Oct. 28, 1995, when Spurrier’s Gators walked into Athens and won 52–17. “Someone told us no one had ever scored 50 points here, so we wanted to do that.” No history debate. Just half a hundred Between the Hedges. 🐊

Back on October 15, 1904, Georgia met the "University of Florida" on a field in Macon and stomped them 52–0. Florida’s excuse for erasing that game from their history books? • They claim that game "doesn’t count" because their state legislature didn’t officially move the campus from Lake City to Gainesville until the Buckman Act in 1905. • Florida’s stance: "That wasn’t really us, that was Florida Agricultural College in Lake City. Our real football team didn’t start until 1906." • Georgia’s stance: You wore Blue & White, called yourselves Florida, and scheduled the Dawgs. You don't get to take an L off the board just because your state decided to relocate your campus fifty miles down the road the next year. The greatest response to this came from legendary Georgia sports historian Dan Magill: “That’s where Florida was back then. We can’t help it if they got run out of Lake City.”

Florida has played Georgia 100+ times and has never beaten the Dawgs when ranked in the AP Top 3. Not once. Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia walks into the Benz ranked No. 3 in the country.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS OUT OF GAINESVILLE: 🚨 Archaeologists excavating beneath Ben Hill Griffin Stadium have uncovered fossilized evidence of the last Florida Gators National Championship. Carbon dating places the event back in early 2008, a forgotten mythical era where: Fans carried digital cameras in little belt pouches to take 3-megapixel photos with red-eye flash. An iPad sounded like a feminine hygiene product. You still had to wait until 9:00 PM for your cell phone minutes to be free. Uber wasn't an app—it was just German for "over." You either called a yellow taxi on a landline or slept in your jorts behind an Applebee's. Babies born the night Tim Tebow hoisted that crystal football have literally obtained driver's licenses, graduated high school, and started college without ever seeing Florida win anything relevant. Scientists warn that Gator fans attempting to remember that night may experience severe dizziness from blowing into their Nintendo cartridges. Happy Hate Florida Week. Go DAWGS!

For the first time in the 122-year history of this rivalry, Georgia and Florida are playing in Atlanta. • This game has been played in Jacksonville almost every year since 1933. • It hasn't been played outside the state of Florida in 31 years (since 1995 between the hedges). • Georgia practically lives in the Benz: Saturday will be Kirby Smart’s 13th game coaching inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. UGA plays SEC Championship games, kickoff games, and playoff games there like it’s Sanford Stadium West. • Florida has played there exactly once: The 2020 SEC Championship Game during COVID in front of 16,000 quiet fans—and they lost. They have never experienced the Benz at full throat with 75,000 screaming fans under that roof. • The Top-3 Curse: Florida has never beaten Georgia in the history of the program when the Dawgs are ranked in the AP Top 3. • Kirby off a loss: 17-3 under Kirby Smart coming off a loss, and 12-3 coming off an open date. Florida is walking into an indoor buzzsaw against a pissed-off Georgia team that had two weeks to stew over Auburn. Five straight over the Gators. Let's go make it six in their own backyard. 🔴⚫️🐾

Hats off to Auburn—they showed up ready to fight, and Georgia didn’t. Turnovers: Georgia 3 (2 INTs, 1 lost fumble), Auburn 0. Defense: Way too many missed tackles. Byrum Brown punished us for 115 yards on 26 carries just slipping through arms. The Reality: Banged up, out of rhythm, and beat up physically. Thank goodness for the off week. Heal up, get right, and get ready for Jacksonville. Go Dawgs. 🐾

A 24-team playoff risks severe rematch fatigue. Alabama could face 4 regular season rematches, with Georgia and Ohio State seeing 3. When up to 10 of 23 playoff games are repeats, the regular season loses its stakes. The only good thing to come from it is that it would eliminate the possibility of what we have now where it is possible Georgia and Alabama could possibly play 3 times in one season. What do you think? Is doing away with conference championship games and going to 24 teams in the playoffs a better move?
One thing folks aren’t talking about enough with the 24-team playoff is the amount of rematch opportunities. We are already seeing this in the 12-team & 24-team makes it worse. In the hypothetical field below, Alabama could end up with 4 CFP games vs teams they’ve already played in 2026. Georgia & Ohio State could have 3 CFP games that are regular season rematches. An occasional postseason rematch can be iconic… but having the potential for 8-10 of the 23 CFP games be regular season rematches seems very short-sighted.

It’s Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry week! 🏈 Looking back at this photo I took during a visit to @hargrettlibrary back in 2023: Vince Dooley’s Auburn letterman sweater. Before bringing six SEC titles and a national championship to Athens, he wore orange and blue on the Plains. Nice piece of rivalry history sitting right on UGA's campus. #GoDawgs #UGAvsAUB

If Auburn thinks they’re going to hit deep boundary shots Saturday, Byrum Brown better study this tape all week. Look at the recovery speed and the way KJ Bolden and Ellis Robinson IV bracket the vertical route down the sideline. Nothing but clean NFL level defense. • Robinson stays in the receiver’s hip pocket the entire way. • Bolden tracks the ball over the top, gets his head around, and plays through the hands. • Zero easy windows. You have to make an NFL throw with pinpoint placement just to have a chance. Auburn’s receivers already struggle to get clean separation against press man. Good luck trying to force 50/50 balls against this secondary between the hedges. 🔴⚫️🐾 #GoDawgs #UGAvsAUB

Georgia needs to do exactly what Tennessee did, run the ball straight down Auburn’s throat. The Vols handed the rock to DeSean Bishop 34 times for 220 yards and 3 touchdowns. Auburn’s defensive front was gassed by the third quarter and couldn’t get off the field. Now look at who Auburn has to stop on Saturday: • Dwight Phillips Jr. is coming off a 120-yard clinic in Tuscaloosa where he ripped off 7.1 yards a pop against Alabama’s front seven. • Bo Walker is giving us near 7 yards a carry as the hammer behind him. • Gunner Stockton showed he can tuck it and punish undisciplined linebackers on zone reads. Auburn had two weeks to sit around and think about what Tennessee did to them. Now they have to face a Georgia offensive line that just moved Alabama backward in their own building. Run the ball, dominate the clock, and break their will early. 🔴⚫️ #GoDawgs #BeatAuburn

If Auburn has any chance to keep this competitive Saturday, it lives and dies with Byrum Brown running outside the pocket. He’s Auburn’s entire offense right now: • Leads them in rushing with 344 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. • Carried the ball 19 times for 107 yards against Tennessee when pass protection broke down. • If you let him escape the pocket, he will burn you on broken plays. Georgia’s defensive game plan is simple: contain the edges. Raylen Wilson, Justin Williams, and Chris Cole don’t need to sell out for highlight-reel sacks, they need to set hard edges, collapse the pocket evenly, and force Brown to beat Georgia from inside the tackle box. Brown already has 7 interceptions this year when forced into obvious passing downs. Bottle him up on early downs, and the rest takes care of itself. 🐾🔴 #GoDawgs #UGAvsAUB #DeepSouthsOldestRivalry

Remember when Auburn cried to the SEC front office for years because playing Georgia and Alabama in November was "too hard"? They complained so much the conference moved the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry to October just so Auburn wouldn't have to face both of us back-to-back. Fast forward to this week: • Georgia just went into Tuscaloosa and played a 60-minute war against Alabama. • Auburn got to sit on their couch with an open week to rest up and game plan. • Now Georgia has to turn right around and play Auburn seven days after Bama. The irony is incredible, but nobody in Athens is making excuses. Georgia has beaten Auburn 9 times in a row, tying the all-time rivalry streak set back in 1931. The win streak started in 2017 at the SEC championship game. A win on Saturday makes it 10 straight—the longest streak by either team in the 134-year history of this game. Auburn had two full weeks to get ready. Georgia has a week of practice after Bryant-Denny. Line it up between the hedges. 🔴⚫️🐾

You know what, all of you Auburn fans are correct. It is MUCH harder to face UGA and Bama back to back then it is to face Auburn and Bama. 🤝

206 rush yards. 1 sack allowed. 33+ minutes of clock. Earnest Greene, Dontrell Glover, Drew Bobo, Zykie Helton, and Juan Gaston took over the line of scrimmage in Tuscaloosa. Phil Rauscher's group was the difference Saturday night. #GoDawgs

We are all talking about Dwight Phillips’ 120 yards against Bama, and he earned every bit of it. But don’t overlook what Bo Walker @8D1bound did Saturday night. Playing in Bryant-Denny without Nate Frazier or Chauncey Bowens should have killed our ground game because they had the number 10 rushing defense going into the game. Instead, Bo stepped up and ran like an absolute grown man. A few things that stood out: 10 carries for 69 yards against a front seven that was daring us to run. That 37-yard burst when we were backed up against our own end zone changed the entire tone of the second half. He didn't dance or try to bounce everything outside. He hit the hole with bad intentions, kept his feet churning, and dragged SEC linebackers for an extra two or three yards every touch. Bo committed back in 2023, put his head down, waited his turn behind older guys, and delivered when Kirby needed him most. Hell of a game from #24. Go Dawgs! 🔴⚫
