ALT an elder golden and a golden retriever puppy sit side-by-side next to a muddy path. both dogs’ faces and front legs are caked with blackish mud, while their chests just have mud at the tips of their fur. the bigger dog, who has a pink nose, wears a stoic expression on his face, eyes squinting ever so slightly as if daring you to question his appearance. the puppy to his right has opted for a more contrite look with his puppy eyes and cute black nose, and honestly it’s working.

ALT a tall, reddish brown bloodhound sits solemnly on the hardwood landing of a flight of stairs, facing the camera. his floppy ears droop down to his shoulders, and his face is long, weighed down by gravity. his eyes are mostly hidden by his skin, and his jowls are half the length of his ears. his neck is all wrinkles.
