President Tinubu Defends Borrowing, Says Infrastructure Investments Will Benefit Future Generations. ********** President Bola Tinubu has defended Nigeria’s recent borrowing, saying the loans are targeted at major infrastructure projects that will expand opportunities for future generations. In his essay, “From reforms to delivery: Our infrastructure investment and growth strategy,” he argued that the real issue is not how much Nigeria borrows, but what the country builds with it. Tinubu listed the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, Trans‑Sahara Superhighway, electricity grid upgrades and port modernisation as projects designed to cut logistics costs, unlock industries and boost GDP. The Lagos–Calabar corridor alone is projected to reduce logistics costs by 15–20%, add up to 2% to GDP, and create more than 250,000 jobs. He said reforms since 2023, including subsidy removal, exchange‑rate unification and tax changes , have strengthened Nigeria’s economic indicators, with GDP growth at 4.43%, inflation down to 14.63%, and external reserves rising to $55.1 billion. Tinubu insisted Nigeria cannot build a $1 trillion economy with outdated infrastructure, stressing that borrowing is now focused on productive, long‑term investments. He outlined five priorities for the next phase: food and energy stability, fiscal discipline, completion of high‑impact projects, regulatory efficiency and targeted household support. He said success will be measured by completed projects, increased investment, job creation and improved living standards, not by the size of the loans. #viral

Listen 💕 You Won't Believe Why Funke Akindele Allegedly Stopped Casting Mama Tola Oladokun After Toyin Abraham Used Her! 🌎 Unpopular Opinion! A Facebook page, Life Between the Lines, has dropped an observation about Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham and it has scattered Facebook! Read what she wrote: "I have noticed something between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham since they started taking their films to the cinema. Funke DOESN'T use any actor that Toyin has cast or has ever used, except for Abike Sugar. Once Toyin features any actor, that is the boundary! Funke will never cast that person again. This is what I have observed. Imisi, for instance. Meanwhile, Toyin, on the other hand, DOES, or let me say SOMETIMES, goes for actors whom Funke casts regularly, and I have noticed that once she does this, Funke will drop the actor and stop casting them with immediate effect, regardless of who the person is." Her biggest example is so painful! "Mama Tola Oladokun has been her character, Suliya's mother in Jenifa's Diary, from the very beginning, starting from the home video 'Jenifa' itself. There was a year Toyin cast the woman, and I do not think she had up to 10 scenes in that film. Funke dropped her immediately, to the extent that even in the new episodes of her 'Aiyetoro' series, she did not cast her. And Toyin has not featured the woman after that movie again. I really feel for her, though... I mean Madam Tola Oladokun." Her sincere advice to Toyin: avoid casting Funke's actors because Funke obviously has actors she casts in her films. They are more or less her standby actors. If possible, let them be and go for other actors entirely. Hmmm! This is deep! Do you think her observation is true? Let us hear in the comments!

"My first b£trayal came from a family member, she was my aunt. My sisters and I went to visit my grand mum, on getting there, some of my cousins were there too. One of their mums, my aunt, kept fresh tomatoes in a bowl and later, we found out that someone had tempered with it, they ate about 4 of them and left some unfinished parts. My aunt lined up all of us and was determined to fetch the n@ughty child. Nobody admitted, then she promised not to beat who ever agreed that they did it, she insisted she just wanted to know the truth. We have been standing for long and I just wanted the interrogation to stop so I said I did it. I received more than 10 strokes of cane. First for st£aling tomatoes and 2ndly, for delaying her. I told her I didn’t do it, I just wanted her to let us go as she promised but it all fell on deaf ears. I was just 7" - A Nigerian lady's account of being b£trayed by a family member has gone viral online.

Q: How did AI pictures get in INEC register? INEC ICT Director Dr. Lawrence: Some registration officers, not only in the places we see on social media, but also across the states, have done different things to introduce irregularities into the register. We know what these people did, we know how they did it, but honestly, I don’t know why.

7 signs your elderly parent may need more help at home. “Your parents may keep saying, ‘I'm fine,’ but sometimes the signs tell a different story”. Are they struggling with bathing or dressing? Are meals becoming irregular? Are they forgetting important routines? Are they spending most of the day alone? Are they struggling to move around safely? Are household chores becoming difficult? Or are you simply noticing that things aren't as easy for them as they used to be? None of these automatically means they need 24-hour care. But they are worth paying attention to. Sometimes the right support at the right time can make everyday life safer, easier and more comfortable. Sometimes the biggest warning sign isn't a crisis. It's a collection of small changes you keep noticing. Don't wait until a small care problem becomes a family emergency. Save this checklist and check on your loved one. If you're unsure what level of support they need, IlewaCare can help you explore your options. Contacts- UK- +44 7428 892285. NIG- +2349115404472. WhatsApp only- +2349116258615. I’ll Teach You A Lesson—Nigerian Police Officer Threatens Motorist, Orders Him To Remove Necklace, Glasses During Search A Nigerian police officer has come under scrutiny after a viral video captured him threatening and allegedly assaulting a motorist who questioned the manner in which officers searched his vehicle. The footage, published by SaharaReporters on Tuesday and shared on X by @MR__sulaiman2, showed a Mobile Police (MOPOL) officer wearing a name tag reading “Afambu Uche” confronting the driver. The disagreement reportedly started when the motorist politely asked the officers to search one section of his vehicle at a time, so he could monitor their actions. “Please sir, can you close the door, let’s focus on one side. Let him close the door so we can focus here, so that I can see what he is doing,” he said. However, one officer questioned the necklace around his neck and appeared to suggest it was a charm. “What is this one on your neck?” the officer asked, before insisting, “Bring it out! What is necklace? Is it not tailsman?” When the driver questioned why he had to remove it, the officer reportedly ordered him to do so and threatened to teach him a lesson. “I will teach you a lesson you have not learned in your life. Open your bag. We are moving you to criminal charge, you are making noise. Who are you?” he said, before ordering the motorist to remove his glasses. “Remove the glass in your face. I say remove the glass in your face! Don’t put the glass on until I finish searching,” the officer added. The confrontation intensified when the driver questioned why he was being harassed for asking questions. The officer also ordered him to put away his phone and glasses. However, the motorist insisted on recording the encounter, saying, “I wouldn’t put my phone in my pocket. Why are you assaulting me? I won’t put my phone in my pocket!”

“Growing up, they’ll tell me, ‘Blessing, you would do ministry.’ I’ll just ignore. When I went to EFCC, I prayed morning, afternoon, night. At the end of the day, everything played out the way it did. I told God that His will should be done. At a time, I was ups£t with God. I refused to pray. I believed He ignored me while I was in there. I told my mum that I didn’t know my fate, and she said to me, ‘Nkiruka, as long as it is something money can do, I don’t mind selling everything I have to get you out of this.’ Every money required was provided. My mum borrowed and borrowed. My family and friends were all running up and down. I had three cases with three judges; three cases with EFCC: one of ₦36 million (I paid ₦6 million), one of ₦69 million, ₦150 million, and the one of c@ncer. When we finally met all the conditions, they were no longer willing to release me. I was in prison for five months because of one delay or the other, not because we didn’t meet the conditions. I learnt to be patient. My friends in prison always prayed for my release. I didn’t come out to the best of news. I didn’t come out excited because I lost something I couldn’t get back. I came out knowing that wherever my son is, he wants to be proud of his mother. The way my son p@ssed was so peaceful. No stress. He was 9 years old but spoke like an adult. When my son was alive, he dreamt that he d!£d. He told his brother, Darell, my sister, who prayed for him. He also told my dad, but he never told me. So, when he p@ssed, I was reminiscing a lot. He was asthmatic and very hyperactive. Since I gave birth to him, I’ve been in and out of the hospital. He had chr0n!c asthma. I learnt that while I was in custody, he was using two inhalers. I ask myself if I could have done anything differently. My mother did all she could. They said he p@ssed around 6:30 a.m. on a Monday morning in the hospital. He was so kind and selfless. I had to forgive myself, and I have decided to br!b£ God, and I know He’ll help me pass this phase of my life. Come on this journey with me. The journey of Jesus Christ. It’s going to be loud, very loud...” - Relationship therapist Blessing CEO opens up about son’s he@rtbreaking de@th, five-month prison ordeal .

𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 82-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 A man, 82-year-old, has been banished from Umuizu, Okwulaga Afaraukwu Ibeku, in Umuahia, Abia State, after being caught allegedly attempting to bury suspected charms on farmland belonging to a member of the community. This was even as the suspect has allegedly confessed to having killed many relatives. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 17, 2026, and attracted the attention of residents and community youths who chased him away from the community. According to information gathered, the man was apprehended by members of the community following allegations that he was attempting to bury objects believed to be charms on another person's farmland. Following his apprehension, community youths took him to the palace of the traditional ruler of Okwulaga Afaraukwu Ibeku, His Royal Highness, Eze Edward Ibeabuchi, where the matter was brought before the monarch. Addressing the incident, the traditional ruler reportedly condemned actions that threaten peace, unity and harmonious coexistence within the community and cautioned residents against engaging in activities that could create fear, suspicion, hostility or division among community members. The monarch also urged the people to uphold good moral values, respect one another and embrace peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of preserving the community's longstanding traditions and unity. Following deliberations at the palace, the man was reportedly banished from the community over the alleged incident. When contacted on Tuesday, the traditional ruler of Okwulaga Afaraukwu Ibeku, His Royal Highness, Eze Edward Ibeabuchi, said, "I did not banish anybody. The community banished him. The community was not happy with him". Shining more light on the development, Eze Ibeabuchi said, "He confessed that he killed his brothers. I called him and asked him about what I heard; he said it was true and pleaded that he be forgiven." The royal father said the community asked him to leave and not be seen in the community, and to go anywhere else he wants. "He is married, and I am sad about him because he is an elder in the community and is about 82 years old. I am ashamed of him because I am in a good relationship with the family." Ezeh Ibeabuchi said the suspect confirmed the allegations and pleaded for forgiveness, noting that he was even thinking if the suspect was mentally well, confirming, "I didn't banish him, but the community. At a stage, I was not sure he was well, and I was crying like a boy. "The land exposed him, and he was vomiting what he had done and where he did it. He led the community to where he did it, including pictures of people; the tree fell down, which meant the spirit he was using to do that left. It was not an easy thing to joke with," a community source said. The wife and the children, it was said, went to thank the traditional ruler for preventing harm to the suspect; if not for the intervention of the traditional ruler, the suspect would have been lynched. As of the time of filing this report, details of any police involvement remained unclear, and efforts to get a police reaction were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Maureen Chinaka, could not be reached for comment....
