11 Nov is Old Samhain. This is when the moon faeries who guard the blackthorn curse anyone who tries to harvest its wood or berries. A full moon is the best time to approach, as then the guardian faeries leave the tree to worship their goddess. #FolkloreSunday #FairytaleTuesday

l’ve had no orders for my nature jewellery collection. I know they’re expensive but the materials for each cost £70 or more & I can’t charge nothing for several hours’ making time on each piece. They used to sell out. I make intricate casts of real flowers incl. snowdrop, lily of the valley & wild carrot, nature finds such as dragonfly wings & feathers & tiny 3d wearable sculptures of much-love birds. I’m taking pre-orders for🎄. A RT would really really help my small business rn, thankyou x: etsy.com/uk/shop/silverpebbl…

#MythologyMonday 🍂👻 As autumn leaves drift to earth, thoughts turn to those across the veil. In Irish folklore, Samhain was a time when the boundary between worlds grew thin and the dead could return. Some came to watch over loved ones; others simply to sit beside the fire, seeking the familiar comforts of home. 🕯️ Imagine the rustle of leaves as footsteps on the path—and an empty chair beside the hearth. Not every ghost comes to frighten. Some come home. 🍁 📖 Source: Patricia Monaghan, The Encyclopedia of Celtic Mythology and Folklore (2004), “death,” pp. 119–120. #IrishFolklore #Samhain #Ghosts #AutumnLeaves #31DaysofHalloween 🎃 🎨 Artwork: Autumn Leaves (1856), John Everett Millais, exhibited at the Royal Academy that year.

🇬🇱 🇩🇰 🇺🇸 Was this the smartest con in Arctic history? The Danes and Greenlanders know perfectly well that the Trump regime is staffed by high school dropouts and people who move their lips when they read, and they know that nobody in this failed administration has the faintest idea that a 1951 agreement exists. So Copenhagen takes the old treaty out of the drawer, blows off the dust, changes the date to 2026 and adds a clause banning China and Russia, neither of whom was ever going to be invited anyway. Trump, who sincerely believes he is the sharpest mind in a movement where that is not a demanding title, promptly launches himself into orbit with a triumph he imagines will win him the midterms. He demanded an island, was sold his own lease back with a fresh cover page, and could not be more thrilled. Stay connected, follow Gandalv @Microinteracti1

What do I need to do to get my art liked and seen by more people?! Is it cos it’s too boring & not good enough? I’ve tried wildlife, farm animals, dogs & cats etc & yet I’m still a failure. I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but other similar artists are thriving. #drawing #art
