One thing that kills a web3 bro is assumption.
The past few months in web3 has thought me these things:
> Never assume for any team: If they did not promise a reward, it means there's no reward!
> If there's no "CLEAR" reward statement, don't stay there
> The only money that's yours is the one in your local bank account
> The real value of the work you did is the payment already made, the promised one is audio and might not be real
> If something looks off, it's definitely because it's off!
> Hold on to your conviction.

I’ve been learning more about @Starknet, and there’s more to it than just scalability.
Starknet is an Ethereum Layer 2 that uses STARK proofs to help make transactions faster and cheaper while benefiting from Ethereum’s security.
With Cairo, account abstraction, and room for developers to build across DeFi, gaming, and more, Starknet has some interesting technology worth paying attention to.
But the recent L1 discussion is what really caught my attention. 👀
$STRK jumped from $0.049 to $0.123 before falling back to $0.055.
Now, 99.96% of the governance vote supports exploring the move to L1.
The catch? Around 94% of the voting power came from STRK delegated by the Starknet Foundation to just 41 addresses.
And this vote isn't approval to become an L1. It's only about researching the possibility. A real transition would require another vote.
Interesting technology, big questions, and a governance process worth watching.

Another day to tell you about @Starknet's vision of having its own layer1 blockchain.

Imagine knowing your house needs a security upgrade but you have to wait for the entire neighborhood to agree first, sounds cringe lol that’s roughly the situation @Starknet is exploring.
Even if they harden their own cryptography, some pieces of the stack still depend on how fast Ethereum moves. Having the option to move on their own timeline is what they’re studying, not because Ethereum is unsafe but its just for more flexibility if threats show up earlier than expected.
In this space, it's good to prepare for threats than wait for them to occur because the consequences cos more than the preparation.

Invest in yourself sounds cliché at this point but hear me out.
For you to invest in something, you must believe that product is better than everything else and can give you the most returns.
For you to invest in yourself, you must believe you are better than everything and everyone else and investing in yourself will give the most returns.
And if you believe that, no matter how bad it gets, you're willing to take a bet on yourself OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
The belief that you're better than everyone else is textbook narcissism, hence we must all have a little narcissism in our lives.
