We looked into this when we saw that Mang0 had registered and his one year ban ends before Evo. Since Smash and Rivals majors overlap, we generally adhere to the same safety/ban decisions and he would be eligible to play Evo weekend

Mang0 was banned from melee brackets for sexual harrassment while intoxicated at an event on stream. I think letting him evade this ban through Rivals 2 at Evo is insane it’s not like he got banned from melee for a melee reason he got banned because of sexual harrassment.

I want to say a little more about the ruling we made earlier today. Our statement simply cannot include all of the information we have because we take privacy, and letting people share their own experiences on their own terms, very seriously. (1/5)

Since it needs to be clarified - the issue here is sending pornography without consent. This is not a situation where we are monitoring your posts or making these types of statements based on seeing tweets we don't like. (4/5)

RTing LD's thread here for visibility re: the LACS. Sheds some great light behind the scenes on things and also why they are such a great partner for us. They really do have the scenes best interests at heart

hi! TO here. for a bit of context, LACS is an established Smash series Ludwig has been running for many years now the original concept was a launch marketing event hosted by Ludwig. it wasn't meant to be a pure "top 16 Rivals" bracket but more "Smash x Rivals worlds collide"
