#Hornets date with the Lakers in Los Angeles next Tuesday (November 17) has been flexed to be broadcast on NBC and Peacock at 11:00 p.m. ET. teapaw.org/hornets/status/2119234…

There are two things outside of the injury problems that are keeping me from thinking all hope is lost:
1) The team literally lost 7 in a row in November last season…yes I know CLT wasn’t getting slaughtered like they have been recently. Yes I know LaMelo was working his way back from injury/having his minutes managed but he played in 5 of those 7 games. Yes I know Moussa wasn’t officially the starting 5 yet. At that point in time, they were still the same old Hornets and nobody really cared. It took months for that team to come together, so we shouldn’t expect this group to be different.
2) If we are actually a complete disaster and continue to get smoked nightly, have the league’s worst offense, suck at home…I do think the GM (who absolutely nobody is happy with rn) will make moves/changes to improve things. The asset stockpile we’ve accumulated is far too significant to watch a team be lifeless for an entire season, and he isn’t afraid to pull the trigger on a deal (obviously).

Brandy had a proud mom moment last night as her daughter Sy’Rai performed the National Anthem before the sold out crowd at the Laker game in Los Angeles.
Some fans said Brandy was being disrespectful to the Anthem as she yelled out multiple times during the performance.
“Yeah’ sing it baby! Uh huh!”
However most thought it was just a mom being proud of her daughter.
You can hear the crowd wowed as Sy’Rai hit her notes.

That reel access receipt......
The entire room is preaching sustained success. Not one person in the Hornets front office thought maybe it’s not a good idea to trade a superstar under 25 for a glorified bench player. Why would you think the Timberwolves were so ready to pull the trigger? Everyone in that room does not need to be there next year. Like who are they to even make such a detrimental decision to the city.

LaMelo Ball became too good for the Charlotte Hornets. Just like Kemba Walker, Glen Rice, Eddie Jones, etc. It seems when a player plays at a high level they’re gone. If Brandon Miller becomes an All-Star he could be next. Maybe that’s why he’s turned his game down some.

Tough place to be as a Hornets fan rn, it’s hard to even enjoy the players and things I’m looking forward to because the whole situation is bleak. 3-1 to start and then 6 straight losses with just the worst emotional context imaginable surrounding the team. Getting booed in the home opener, the Naz benching thing, Kon being hurt again immediately, Miller sucking right after securing the bag, trading away LaMelo hanging over everyone’s head…
I feel bad for the rookies, I think they most likely felt they just walked into a shit storm on their first day with the team, and I’m genuinely excited to see those guys (and McNeeley) play but in a supplemental role in the rotation, not thrown in out of necessity or put in because the other team has a 25+ point lead. The Celtics had a 20 point lead after the 1st quarter(!!!!!) and the score at halftime was 70-39 🤢.
I also feel bad for the people paying for tickets and witnessing a murder on your home court every night. According to @bball_ref the Hornets are 5th in attendance this season…Charlotte/the Carolinas deserve better.

Beginning to wonder if the Charlotte Hornets are having seller's regret when it comes to LaMelo Ball.

🎙️ Charles Lee on Brandon Miller: "To be honest, I saw him start to limp a couple of plays. He was good, then he asked for a sub. We'll evaluate him over the weekend, and we'll have more information on Monday."

🎙️ Hannes Steinbach on NBA physicality: "It was good to get in a game. In the beginning, just figuring out how the physicality is against those guys that really play. It was definitely tough in the beginning, but I got used to it a little better throughout the game."

One of the leading thoughts as to why LaMelo was traded is due to injuries.
It is a bit ironic that the Hornets have had their three best players miss time/games due to injuries.
