Over here on X, I share my personal journey building a dividend growth portfolio in Europe to retire early on passive income.
A few things worth knowing before you follow along 👇
📌 Everything I post is my personal opinion. I hold an EFPA EIP certificate because I passed the test to test my knowledge, not to practice as an advisor. Nothing here is investment advice under EU law.
📌 When I mention a stock, I always disclose whether I own it. My analysis reflects my own assumptions and methodology. Do your own homework before you put money in anything.
📌 When I promote Dividend Talk Premium, that's commercial content. Everything else is just me sharing my journey.
📌 Investing involves real risk. You can lose money, including everything you put in. So be wise with your hard-earned money.
That's the full picture. Now let's talk dividends 🙌
Microsoft offered 27% of its workforce a voluntary buyout.
For how many months' salaries would you agree if your company offered the same?

Dividend Tax Reclaim is one of the biggest scams in the EU.
It often takes months, if not years, to get your money back from the foreign tax office. And yes, sometimes you still have to submit this by post.
But watch out: if you're 1 day late paying tax, you'll often get a letter within no time with threatening words.
It's the #1 thing I hate most as a European investor.

Imagine there would be pension funds that invested your money for the future but applied their ideology on top of it (not yours) and not invest in oil & gas stocks as part of a diversified portfolio.
That would be crazy, right?
Right?

The fact that Accenture doubled its share price in the last few months is wild 🤯

Just remember that price often drives narrative.
At 2500p, many were fearmongering that British American Tobacco was dead.
At the current price, it’s dead quiet.
A good reminder that doing your homework, turn off the noise, and stay focused is a great habit to have as a longterm investor.
Discl: I don’t own $BTI

Quick portfolio reality check: 16 of my 59 positions are in the red.
The pattern? Many of them are recent additions.
As a value-oriented investor, I've learned that today's red often becomes tomorrow's green.
It just takes conviction and time.

The Netherlands is moving to a 36% tax on investment returns from 2028.
The tax-free part shrinks fast too. In 2026, the first €59,357 per person is tax-free. DutchNews reports that this drops to €30,846 next year and to €1,000 from 2028.
Many tax experts say this hits the small investor hardest. I agree. The person who invests every month to build their own income feels it most.
Where does this end?
Do you stay, or do you start looking at other countries?
