As Gavin McKenna’s year at Penn State came to an end, he gathered himself in the locker room and reflected on a whirlwind college experience
From a public legal battle, to highlights so grand they even caught Conor McGrgeor’s eyes, McKenna’s freshman campaign was one for the record books
Here’s what he had to say as he prepares to move on from Happy Valley to the 2026 NHL Draft

Karma for robbing us of hearing @LandonTengwall yinzerize Kalani Sitake’s name every weeknight
Crumbl's cookie empire is crumbling — 57 locations gone, sales down 70%: Crumbl Cookies is closing stores, cutting corporate jobs, and watching sales crater as consumers pull back on pricey treats — a story that's less about… dlvr.it/TVtmwB #CrumblCookies #CookieBusiness
If you can’t wait to see Avengers Doomsday, just look up a documentary video of Pat Kraft’s tenure as Penn State’s athletic director, the timeline is pretty similar
I am man enough to admit I was completely wrong about the coaching search
I thought firing Franklin was justified and the right thing….. turns out it seems like Pat Krapt just wanted to power trip someone to call his guy
I thought Penn State wouldn’t fall back to hard this season….. it set Penn State back even further than I could’ve imagined
I thought Bob Chesney wouldn’t be a good hire…. He’s an absolute rockstar
I thought Matt Campbell was perfect for the job…. He’s doing the same in game mismanagements as James did
Never early, just wrong
Yall please don’t storm the field for this one
You’ve waited 10 years for one… save it for a win that’s actually worthwhile
I still love college football, but the last two years has taught me that college football doesn’t love me back

Coming from my perspective as a Russian citizen (that’s what the RG is for) I think the criticisms of Ovechkin ignore the realities of the Russian government. The Kaplan video in the “strongly worded” comment I think explains it well too.
It sounds like a lot of people are Americanizing a dictatorship. Someone with Ovi’s international celebrity status is going to be under watch, and it’s not as easy to say no to Vladimir Putin as a lot of people make it out to be.
Ovi hasn’t spoken out against Putin or the war because it’s literally a crime in Russia. It’s also not easy to just “move out of Russia” especially, again, for someone of Ovi’s status, who’s entire life and family is built back in Russia.
I view it empathetically to the citizens of stricter countries, it’s not like America where all of our suggestions are realistic
