When I was a kid, this was my Luke Skywalker figure, and I HAD NO IDEA, that Star Wars fans were going nuts over these toys trying to buy up cases for collector value, and then when everyone had them and the market fucking crashed and now these toys are hated
Exalted Speed@Exalted_Speed11h
I think sometimes people over react to this stuff and think THEY HATE THE FANBASE, but to the creators who were probably nerds in the trenches themselves for various things, this is the them venting about Pokemon scalpers who punched out a kid to get packs.

Myself I kind of like the Novelty of having BUFF Luke Skywalker as a reaction to what American toys are popular, like the He-man muscles never left us, and you could see it even in toys like Power Rangers.

you have to be a real Bronze Age head to get it.......

This is the only Luke Cage comic I feel comes close to being art be in conversations with major books but i completely understand people who don’t vibe with it.

I would not but if I had too, and wanted to be really fucked up the robot kept him alive and transferred his mind into a small doll body, forcing him to survive on his own and now this "doll man" is not sure if he wants his mom to find out.

Keep in mind these were guys who probably were dealing with various forms of the 90's comic speculator boom in comics, trading cards or the like, they could not imagine how MUCH worse it would get with people, or what the people are actually like but it was not good.

I could see this being conceptually interesting but GOD the Human being transformer thing would have opened up way too many questions and probably would HAVE been ignored going forward. Not even new media touch the idea that Cybertron was organic.

One day, I will discuss this comic. It's very, very good and extremely problematic

I totally get it but like any weird pop culture phenomenon I’m curious if only because it’s seems to be close to a western isekai or light novel thing. Want to get a feel myself

Kind of he was darker In his early months but he actually did lighten up early on once Robin got in and the majority of his early years is closer to Adam West than the shadow. Batman darkness as we know it now probably should be credited to later eras like O’Neil and Miller
Bricks_Ahoy@AhoyBricksOct 22
Do people who go on about this not realize that Batman was created as an inherently darker character?

Like I’m not denying the early days but that is one short year vs about 2-3 decades of comic stories

If it’s now going to be Canadian I just expect a 60 percent rise in candian content. Can’t wait to play the space hockey game

I see the potential, at the end of the day this is probably meant more for the creator and their niche friends so no harm done, it’s flawed but I rather let it have its space

I can critique but I don’t think it would matter and the creator would not want to take it, like I feel this is her weird niche art and I rather have the space for someone to work out their issues.

I'm enjoying the slow evolution of MediaOCD as a store because now you look into different categories including TOKU, oh be still my heart!
