Remembering the victims of the Bolshevik Revolution starts with dispelling the myth that it was a popular uprising. The Leninists did not have — nor did they need — majority support to seize power.
In the Nov. 1917 elections, the Reds got ~9 million votes out of 36 million (only about 25%).
They dissolved the Constituent Assembly by force two months later and launched a civil war that k*lled 7-12 million people. They then immediately began destroying their rivals.
If you haven't started learning from this nightmarish chapter of history, now is the time.
The GOP establishment has achieved none of their voters’ objectives for decades, and gatekept all the best people from the halls of power. That ends when we decide it ends. And it looks like we’ve decided.

In point of fact, the person who speaks honestly about the war, both privately and publicly, is NOT TO BLAME for the failure -- ONCE FREAKING AGAIN -- of the devastatingly toxic neocon stranglehold on the GOP. THIS IS MADNESS.

Republicans lost in part because the Iran war dragged on. The vice president owns that.

Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning.
Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor.
You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again.
You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid.
Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans.
Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview.
On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs.
You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up.
Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+.
At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart.
You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March.
After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail.
Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent.
Your son grows upset. You change the channel.
Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work.
Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV.
Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen.
You sit alone in your living room.
You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you.
Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war.
And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now.
Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem.
For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending.
The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning:
You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work.
And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist.
What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?

By late 2022, people had started to realize that lockdowns, mandates and the entire Covid regime were a complete disaster. Just a mix of authoritarianism and pseudo-science and nothing else.
This was a difficult realization after years of shouting “follow the science” and viciously demonizing us defenders of liberty in truly shameful ways.
And so in October of 22, the Atlantic said “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty!”
Today a lot of people want an “Iran war Amnesty”
As I said to the Covid people: Fuck No

“As long as I’m governor of this great state, Texas will be a land for the Indian community. We will continue to celebrate Diwali in the great state of Texas.”
If you want to know why Greg Abbott got the Texans' boot from office, it's because of betrayals like these.
Many
Such
Cases
I enthusiastically voted for Trump/Vance in 2024. I heard their words and saw their vision. Shortly after the inauguration it was clear something was amiss and normal, well-meaning, America First minded people started gently calling out the inconsistencies. We were attacked, called traitors, unfollowed by long time mutuals and had our intentions and integrity smeared.
I understand emotions are raw but we need to have an honest conversation about who and what went so terribly wrong….because if what happened last night came as a surprise, you simply are not living in reality, you’re living in a bubble.
Midterm massacre.

Folks, Greg Abbott did this to himself. He begged the tech companies to come to Texas, and he had them bring their H1b employees, most of which are from India. 70 to 80 percent vote democrat.
He pleased big business and got himself voted out.
Did you ever wonder why the US Border Patrol was not mass deporting illegal aliens out of Houston or Dallas wholesale?
His chickens have come home to roost.
"Texas has added ~476k new lawful permanent residents in just the last four years. That scale of legal immigration is more than enough to erase the old GOP margin and produce the early Democratic lead we’re seeing tonight."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
H-1B holders cannot vote; only U.S. citizens can. Indians face long green card waits (often 10+ years) then 5 more for citizenship. ~228k Indian American eligible voters in TX lean Dem, small vs ~700k margin. Latino voter shifts were larger drivers.

The Idaho cheap labor lobby just said the quiet part out loud...
Rick Naerebout @RickNaerebout runs the Idaho Dairymen’s Association @idahodairymens. And the Washington State Dairy Federation.
In this new article (screenshotted) he talks about how they beat you in the 2026 primaries:
“We’ve already lost our House to the far right.”
Far right is what he calls the Idaho House for passing a bunch of immigration bills that never made it out of the Idaho Senate.
So they spent $200,000 on nine Republican primaries to protect what he calls the “firewall” of moderate senators. They won 8 of the 9 races.
Then they bought billboards:
“We could track when people were passing these billboards, then push a digital ad to those same people.”
They grabbed your phone’s location when you drove by then they chased you onto social media.
He said “it freaked our board out.”
Freaked me out too, Rick.
Then he bragged about their playbook saying: “Take out Idaho. Put in Kansas or Utah. Pick your red state. We don’t care.”
It's true, they don't care about you.
Back in February of this year, the cheap slave labor lobby formed the “Idaho Alliance for a Legal Workforce,” and sponsored an economic study with apress conference to try and scare the Legislature (didn't work) and the Idaho Farm Bureau @IDFarmBureau hosted the press conference.
Their study admits that nearly 90% of Idaho’s dairy workforce is foreign-born. The source for that number is literally “According to the Idaho Dairymen’s Association.”
And Naerebout told NPR last month that some 90% of the workers at Idaho’s dairies may not have legal status. That’s the cheap slave labor business model in writing.
Then they quoted developer Tommy Ahlquist @TommyAhlquist saying we should "stay away from government red tape policies like e-verify.”
E-Verify is how you check that a worker is legal. The irnnic part is that they named their group after the exact thing they’re fighting against - a legal workforce.
Their "fact sheet" says losing these slave workers would make the housing crisis worse. Page 2 of their study says Idaho’s population boom “increased housing demand and led to sharply rising prices.”
They wrote that.
But Idaho’s construction workforce nearly doubled from 2014 to 2024 and home prices went up 168% anyway, because every illegal worker they import needs a house too.
Plus, their study only looks at what happens right away, before anybody has time to fix anything.
And they admit they “assume price stability.” That’s economist-speak for: in our made up model, prices never change. Including the price of labor.
Well here in the real world, when a dairy can’t find workers, it raises pay. And higher pay pulls Idahoans off the couch or out of worse jobs (or the dairy buys a machine that does the work of three guys).
But their "model" doesn’t allow any of that. Wages are frozen. So the worker just vanishes and the job never gets filled. When you rig it that way the only answer you can ever get is more cheap foreign slave labor.
The scenario they ran was roughly 70% of Idaho’s illegal workforce gone in a single year. But show me the Idaho bill that does that. They built a scary hypothetical and waved it at the Legislature as if any bill we pushed did that.
And they can’t keep their own numbers straight anyways. Workers removed: 28,725 in the press release. 25,611 on page 34. 26,824 on page 37. Page 34 also says “total job losses of 1.16 million.”
That’s every job in Idaho!
And the authors’ contact email is a gmail account (just saying)
My favorite line is on page 20. States less dependent on illegal labor “will likely benefit,” because companies will expand there. They name Wisconsin and Maine. So their own economists think leaning on illegal labor is a weakness?
Naerebout told NPR the jobs “just don’t appeal to Americans.”
No shit.
What American wants to show up to a crew where nobody speaks his language, in shit conditions, for pay built around workers who can’t complain?
Of course it doesn’t appeal to Americans. They built it that way.
And notice nobody in that crowd ever finishes the sentence with a wage. Cheap labor jobs only appeal to people with no other options.
That’s the whole point.
And their own economists admit the fix exists. Page iv says that over the long run “adjustments and investments in other market segments, as well as substitutions for other activities, will be necessary.” Page 20 says “Investments in capital are likely to be made.”
That’s higher pay. That’s the robot milker. That’s hiring the white American kid down the road.
They cut every bit of it out of the model, because a study where Idaho adapts can’t sell amnesty (their goal).
Pay Idahoans. Buy the equipment. Enforce the law so the dairyman who does it right isn’t undercut by the one who doesn’t.
Idaho first.
All of it points at their SAWA amnesty bill. It turns guest workers into 350-day “temporary” workers and gives legal status to illegals who were here by May 31, 2026 and worked in ag. It caps their wage growth around 3.25% a year and folds meatpacking into “agriculture.”
I thought 1986 was supposed to be the last amnesty (I was 7 years old, but still).
An observation from Bend, Oregon:
An armed civilian saw the perpetrator entering the school with a shotgun, followed him in, and neutralized him. Sadly the perpetrator killed four people before he was taken out.
Contrast this with Parkland High School and Uvalde Elementary, where police officers hesitated and even declined to enter the schools despite knowing a shooting event was occurring.
In those two events, 17 and 21 people were killed.
Mass public shootings are a little like cancer: quick intervention is your best hope.
