So here's a little story. I went to my daughter's yesterday afternoon. The wife showed up after work. We hung out until around 8:30. We were driving home in separate vehicles. I was blinded by a car coming at me but still saw a flutter of brown in the headlights. Figured it was a leaf. Skip ahead about 20 minutes and as I turn on my road I see a wing come up on my hood and slide back down. We get home. I go to the front and this bird's head is wedged in my grill. Still alive.😳 I pushed on the soft part grill and he fell out. I scooped him up and brought him in. We bandaged him up and gave him a place to sleep. He seemed fine this morning so we let him go. We believe it was a juvenile N. American Woodcock. A.K.A Timberdoodle. 🤷🏼‍♂️ That was our Saturday excitement. I hope you have all had a great weekend.
