Jadeja doesn't get the respect he deserves for two reasons.
1. He has fewer "moments" in his career. He is more consistent than spectacular, and consistency isn't sexy. It only shows on the charts after years of perseverance.

Why don't we sing songs for Ravindra Jadeja like we do for the other three?
Maybe because Bapu is simply minding his business and not creating any controversy.
I have never seen Jadeja demanding or lusting for a position in the team. Captains have come and gone, but Bapu has kept playing his cricket the way he always does.
What I like most about Jadeja is his ability to complete a Test over in under a minute and a half. That's no small skill.
Of course, his batting and bowling have saved us from many blushes and helped India win plenty of Tests.
Yet our media and social media still don't seem to give him his due credit. Strange!
